You will join our Onshore plants & Safety department

As our new Risk and Safety Engineer you will be part of a team of 15 multidisciplinary engineers located in Copenhagen, with 6 dedicated risk & safety engineers. The team is a good mix of younger and more experienced colleagues with lots of interesting, challenging and varied projects to deliver in the near future within the Energy sector and integrating into the transition to greener fuels such as Hydrogen. We work both within new design projects as well as permitting for new and existing facilities. We are a busy and energic team with a positive mindset always looking for the next challenge. We typically work with risk assessments, mainly in onshore facilities but also for offshore pipelines and our projects are mostly in Denmark and Europe but also in other parts of the world. .

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Preparation of Risk assessments and Quantitative Risk Analyses (QRA) for onshore facilities as well as offshore pipelines
• Evaluating risk and risk reducing measures according to the ALARP principle, including cost benefit analysis
• Performing consequence analysis e.g. fire, explosion and dropped object analysis
• Performing RAM analyses
• Preparation of Safety reports as well as other related input to permitting processes with the authorities
• Participating in safety/risk workshops where you will be responsible for workshop preparation and for documenting findings and actions. This includes both HAZID and HAZOP workshops
• Developing mathematical models as required to adapt to the requirements of the safety assessments

• M.Sc. or B. Sc. Degree in Engineering or Natural Science Education (Physics, Mathematics or Chemistry)
• 2 to 5 years of experience with Risk & Safety engineering tasks from, for example, the Oil & Gas or Energy sector, Pharmaceutical or Chemical industry
• Experience with performing risk assessments/risk modelling, consequence analysis and quantitative risk analyses
• Experience with Phast simulation software
• Experience with RAM analysis is an advantage
• Programming skills is an advantage
• Excellent English skills since this is our corporate language
• Knowledge of Danish or other Scandinavian language is preferable
