Currently we are searching for a Special Cargo Solutions Manager for our Rotterdam office.As Special Cargo Solutions Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the Special Cargo business while driving the transformation of Special Cargo as part of the company strategy to be an integrator of container logistics. You will ensure that you create customer value and support the area business plans with your actions and directions. You will be part of a regional Special Cargo team, working in a highly engaged community driving our transformation and a successful outcome of our company strategy.

The location for this position is basically the whole EU area. For example your office could be based in Rotterdam, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Madrid, Gednoa or Madrid.

You will be responsible for the following tasks:

Drive Special Cargo Performance

• Drive special cargo volume, revenue and yield for the assigned European area in collaboration with the frontline organization;
• Collaborate with key inter-functional stakeholders to drive optimal special cargo performance;
• Participate in seeking & developing new special cargo opportunities;
• Define regional special cargo strategy together with the rest of the Europe Special Cargo team and cascade down to commercial organisation in the area;
• Build plans to grow the special cargo segment by engaging customers and relevant exhibitions and market events to position Maersk as the supplier of choice;
• Go-to person for market expertise & cascade down (including market plans, competition, market shares, etc).

Drive Special Cargo Transformation

• Steer the ocean customer portfolio towards maximizing special cargo opportunities across the entire supply chain;
• Expand our special cargo capabilities across the entire supply chain;
• Drive special cargo knowledge and awareness across the area;
• Optimize and transform current processes, procedures and our ability to service different markets and customers with a multi-brand strategy;
• Expand our special cargo logistics capabilities across the entire supply chain to build products that match customer needs.

We are looking for:

• Self-starter and a driven individual with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
• Self-disciplined individual with high drive and sense of urgency, high learning agility and change mindset;
• Result-oriented, ability to set the priorities, solid planning skills, and able to work systematically;
• Strong research, analysis and assessment of information skill, proficient in communication of insights to key decision-makers;
• Comfortable and capable of exerting influence without authority;
• Problem solving mindset and great team player;
• Mature in using judgement is escalations and prioritizations;
• Relevant experience in Special Cargo and Project Logistics is strongly preferred.
