Kick-start your career with a 12-month program that will help you acquire capabilities to become a skilled life science production IT consultant. You’ll expand your toolbox and receive hands-on training and specialized mentoring. In other words, this opportunity is an investment in your career.
NNIT Production & Laboratory is a fast-growing business area where we apply the latest technologies to improve pharmaceutical production processes. We help our clients design a manufacturing IT and automation architecture and to make the right decision with their IT investments to be ready for the Factory of the Future.
We have strong experience with major pharmaceutical MES systems, and we work systematically with upcoming technologies. We are an independent MES implementation partner towards the global pharma industry and collaborate with a range of the top 20 life sciences companies in the world.
As part of this program, you’ll access a huge professional and international network in NNIT. You’ll get close to our international customers and their businesses, and you’ll be able to add value from day one. The program starts 1 September 2023, and your workplace will be in either Denmark (Søborg, Copenhagen) or Germany (Karlsruhe).
As a NNIT graduate you’ll get the opportunity to work with some of the most skilled consultants within production IT and laboratory.
After completing the program you’ll continue your career in NNIT as a consultant.

The Life Science Production IT & Laboratory Graduate Program lasts 12 months. During your time as a graduate, you’ll:
You’ll get familiar with:
We ensure you receive broad exposure to different types of life sciences projects, where we strive to improve patients' lives by being the best at translating between business and IT. You’ll take part in projects, you’ll learn to understand and interpret the customer’s needs and, in collaboration with the NNIT organization, work on providing cutting edge digital solutions, either based on standard SaaS vendors or bespoke tools build in-house.
You’ll also learn how to act as a trusted advisor and how to challenge and transform business requirements into holistic solutions that support NNIT’s technology standards and roadmaps within life sciences.
Tasks vary from implementing digital transformation projects to executing and optimizing on a full-scale Production IT implementation for a customer and everything in between. This will require that you are flexible in terms of taking on various roles for our clients. Examples of roles could be: MBR designer, Scrum Master, or Business Analyst. You may also get to work on projects that require you to use digitalization tools such as HoloLens, PowerBI, PowerApps or Azure.
Your profile
You’re about to complete your master’s degree or have just completed it. Or maybe you have up to two years of work experience. You’re ambitious and focused, and you want to start a career as a consultant - delivering business critical IT projects to our many customers.

We’re around 175 consultants internationally in our unit from west-coast US over Europe to Singapore, organized in strong teams within specialized knowledge areas. What to expect
The Life Science Production IT & Laboratory Graduate Program lasts 12 months. During your time as a graduate, you’ll:
- Build the foundation for a strong consultant profile
- Deep dive into complex pharma production and the technologies used in manufacturing and laboratory space
- Receive the necessary training and courses, eg training in design and implementation of Production IT systems
- Work closely with a dedicated graduate manager and mentor to support your development
- Apply your knowledge to real-life projects adapted to your capabilities
- Get exposed to the latest technologies and industry trends
- Participate in the Young Professionals Community, thereby accessing a network of other young professionals in NNIT
- Join the Personal Leadership Program, giving you the foundation for creating a sound and healthy work life
- Be offered sessions with a career coach to reach your full potential
You’ll get familiar with:
- Pharma production processes and GMP
- MES solutions (for instance Werum PAS-X, Rockwell Factory Talk PharmaSuite, Emerson Syncade (or Emerson Delta V), POMSNet, Siemens OpsCenter, MODA-ES)
- Master batch record (MBR) authoring
- Production IT apps
- Agile digital transformation and lean manufacturing

- You have a strong interest in becoming a consultant supporting our life sciences customers
- You have achieved good results in your studies
- You’re a problem solver and you're committed, self-driven and have a commercial mindset and global outlook
- You have good English skills, both verbally and written. If you choose to be employed at our German office it is important that you speak and write German.
- You’re proficient with MS Excel & MS PowerPoint
- You are willing to travel as part of a project and find it interesting working in an international setting
- You understand chemical engineering, manufacturing process, process automation, robotics, biomolecule processing or similar fields
