As a part of Vestas Power Solutions, the Loads and Control - 2/4MW Products department consists of highly skilled and motivated engineers with the responsibility of adapting and developing the loads and control solution with the goals of optimizing the product performance in close collaboration with a large set of stakeholders cross Vestas.

Loads and Control 2/4MW Products works in a global setup, with colleagues located in Aarhus, Porto and Chennai.

Loads and Control 2/4MW Products works in a global setup, with colleagues located in Aarhus, Porto and Chennai.
Responsibilities
As a Loads Engineer you will be:
- Delivering design loads, power curves, and noise assessments
- Perform product level design studies within loads, including blade design iterations, tower iterations, wind turbine aeroelastic stability, etc;
- Support the certification process of wind turbines, including performing the load test campaign in the prototype wind turbine
- Development and validation of wind turbine aeroelastic models
- Drive the technical aspects of loads development for a specific product from feasibility state to full validation and certification stage
- Risk management activities, such as failure mode and effect analysis
- Development of code/scripts and improvement of processes to ensure a lean and efficient execution
Qualifications
You must have:
- MSc. or PhD. in Mechanical/Aerospace/Aerodynamics Engineering
- 1-5 years of working experience within wind energy engineering or similar field;
- Experience with aeroelastic tools, load calculations
- Knowledge of dynamic mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Experience with working in MATLAB and Python
You may have:
- Experience in control development for wind turbine applications
- Experience with MATLAB - Simulink
- Experience with agile methods
