Description

Do you want to take ownership for your very own area related to the development and product maintenance of the chemical components in our ABL800 Blood Gas Analyzer? Moreover, do you like to be part of a fast-paced environment where there is a sense of urgency in the close collaboration between R&D and the production? If your answer is yes, please take a few minutes to read more about this job opportunity.

Your new ABL800 colleagues

You will join R&D Senior Manager, Rasmus Svensson’s team of 8 employees. The team is responsible for product maintenance with focus on securing system performance and quality of the ABL800 Analyzer. Your new colleagues are a good mix of engineers and lab techs with the majority of them having at least 5 years of experience working in Radiometer. Rasmus explains: “I trust my team and I care about sustaining a work environment where we share laughs and celebrate successes. We need to be ready to adapt to our customers’ needs and improve the quality and performance for them. I like that sense of urgency and that level of attention that we all have to be ready to give. We don’t have to wait 5 years or more to see the result of our work on the market. We get to make an impact on our products on a regular basis.”

A great variety of tasks and steep learning curve

Expect to take responsibility for evaluating the performance of a variety of components. It can be anything from how our calibration fluids interact with the ABL to how the gases in the device affects the analysis of the blood cells. Common for all the tasks are that our blood gas analyzers will broaden your understanding of technical areas to also include knowledge of areas within mechanics, software, hardware and physics, to name a few.

Cross-functional collaboration is required as you collaborate with your production colleagues to trouble shoot and problem solve potential quality issues. Standards for quality and requirements to our product can also be a topic when you talk to colleagues in QA. Finally, a close collaboration with the lab techs in R&D is natural as you write protocols and discuss what kind of experiments can validate your hypothesis. As part of your development, you get the opportunity to work with other teams in R&D to ensure exposure to different technologies and to ensure a potentially long, challenging and interesting career in Radiometer and Danaher.

Tasks summarized

• Problem solving where chemistry/performance evaluation is a factor
• Statistical analysis and experimental design
• Write protocols and involvement in performance test for ABL800
• Any task related to OXI algorithms and functionality – this relates to more than one of our Blood Gas Analyzers
• Obsolescence where any chemical compound is changed e.g. gaskets

We offer you

A unique opportunity to work in the field of medical technologies, where knowledge sharing and professional respect combine to make it both fun and meaningful to go to work. Both in Denmark and abroad you will meet enthusiastic colleagues who take pride in making a difference in a company whose products can truly impact other people's lives. We offer you 'freedom with responsibility', opportunities for training and career development, and a wide range of staff benefits.

Application deadline is Thursday 10 October 2019. Start the application process by pressing "Apply Online" and follow the guidelines on our corporate career site. Please attach your CV and other relevant documents. We look forward to receiving your application.
