On behalf of NKT we are looking for an experienced production manager for a new position in the medium voltage cable production, where different types of cables are produced for the Danish and European markets. With reference to the Plant Director you will be a key player responsible for leading and motivating approx. 30 production blue collar workers directly and via team coordinators. The teams are working in 5 shifts in “Hal 5” 365/24/7. You will be sharing responsibilities with another production manager, so you will work in close cooperation with him and the Plant Director.
In your part of the production you will be responsible for driving an efficient and cost-effective production of MV cables to a higher level of productivity and to meet order demand, specifications, quality and planning targets. Your primary tasks will therefore be:

Experienced manager, who can motivate and lead via team coordinators
On behalf of NKT we are looking for an experienced production manager for a new position in the medium voltage cable production, where different types of cables are produced for the Danish and European markets. With reference to the Plant Director you will be a key player responsible for leading and motivating approx. 30 production blue collar workers directly and via team coordinators. The teams are working in 5 shifts in “Hal 5” 365/24/7. You will be sharing responsibilities with another production manager, so you will work in close cooperation with him and the Plant Director.
Your responsibilities and tasks
In your part of the production you will be responsible for driving an efficient and cost-effective production of MV cables to a higher level of productivity and to meet order demand, specifications, quality and planning targets. Your primary tasks will therefore be:
- Ensure that the flow of the production is optimized in your part of the plant
- Manning budgeting on an ongoing basis
- Fulfilling KPI’s in the designated area of the plant
- Plan for developing competences of the production workers to keep a high motivation and possibility to move people to new positions internally
- Motivate and meet each employee on an individual basis
- Change management
- Collaborating with the HR department to ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed
- Guiding, motivating and developing less experienced team members to their own potential
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental directives, implementing regulations and monitoring and reporting progress and results
Production manager with strong impact and people skills
We are looking for a Production Manager, who is visible, has strong impact and at the same time has people skills and ability to motivate and see potential in others. You know how to retain and develop good employees without losing focus on KPI’s. Furthermore, your CV comprises:
- Some years of experience from process line management within the medical-, food-, plastic- or other relevant industry
- Experience in working with LEAN/Six Sigma in a production
- Change management experience
- Stake holder management experience from working in an international and/or big organization
- Relevant education with additional courses related to LEAN
We expect that you are fluent in Danish – both written and oral.
