The Cargo Operator is part of the Cargo Execution team in Sealand Europe & Mediterranean – A Maersk Company, and is responsible for enabling cost efficient and smooth cargo operations for our customers cargo to and from all vessels calls, both mainliner- and feeder vessels carrying.
This position is part of the Operations team in Sealand Europe & Med (SEM). Operations is responsible for vessel schedules, allocation management, VSA coordination, load and discharge processes. As part of the A. P. Moller – Maersk Group, Sealand is serving the European and North African containerized market. Sealand is founded with the aim to enhance regional market focus. The company is a stand-alone legal entity and operates as a fully independent business unit. In total 75 vessels are operated by Sealand in the Europe & Med region. SEM Operations is a highly international environment and consists of approximately 50 driven colleagues based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
• You are in the heart of cargo operations in the Maersk Group, managing daily execution.
• You are responsible for seamless cargo operations to and from vessels for units under Sealand scope, both own and partner operated.
• You are part of an international dynamic team.
• You get new challenges every day and will need to be pro-active and take ownership to get tasks done on time and with the required quality.
• You will actively participate in improvement and automation projects to build the future way of working for Cargo Execution within the Maersk Group.
• Responsible for Load, Discharge and Release processes for Ports/Services under Sealand Scope.
• Plan, execute and communicate operational contingencies.
• Pro-actively resolve loadlist challenges avoiding cargo being left behind and improve upstream process to structurally increase the loadlist accuracy.
• Improve customer’s satisfaction by ensuring cargo is delivered as per our promise
• You need to coordinate between various internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all planned units are loaded are per the promise to our customers, against the lowest possible cost.
• Costs and service delivery are the key drivers of your daily decisions and you constantly seek structural improvements to drive efficiencies and bring down cost

• The ideal candidate is passionate about vessel/terminal operations and curious to learn.
• He/she can go in detail if required yet does not lose sight of the bigger operational and commercial picture.
• Experience in operations is preferred.
• The team works 24/7, hence this job requires shift work in a flexible shift roster aligned with the business needs and includes night shifts.
