Structural Engineer for Commissioning phase

Your position

In your onshore position as Structural Engineer in the Consulting Services team you will be a valuable member of a dedicated team whose mission is to support our clients to achieve success in their energy projects within energy infrastructure in oil & gas.

Your place of work will be either at our Global HQ located in Esbjerg or at one of our locations in Copenhagen, Poland or UK.

The position is full-time and 10 - 50 travel days per year offshore and onshore to clients should be expected.

The set-up

You will be hired as a Semco Maritime employee and work in a team dedicated to one of our national or international customers.

Your tasks & responsibilities
As a Structural Engineer your tasks and responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to:

• Work as part of Commissioning team at yard and later offshore, with focus to drive system from Construction through Commissioning phase.
• Prepare Commissioning scope in PCS.
• System punch-out and MC handover activities.
• Execute commissioning activities in accordance with commissioning plans and procedures.
• Status activities related to the use of PCS.
• Provide progress reporting regarding own activities.
• Change Control (SWCR, Query, Documents).
• System take-over activities.
• Execute Start-up and Performance Test activities.
• Administration and supervision of commissioning assistance and vendor personnel within own group.
• The tasks will depend on the specific client's needs.

Your profile & qualifications

We are looking for a Structural Engineer who is a strong executer with drive who is passionate about commissioning and wants to leave their personal mark on the tasks. You have a proactive and organized approach to your work and are eager to contribute to our clients and your team's success.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.
• At least 3 years’ experience within oil & gas industry.
• Good knowledge of the work processes within the discipline that is being carried out.
• Knowledge of MS Office 365Pims CMS.
• Team player.
• Commissioning experience.
• As a profile the ideal candidate are an executer and problem solver with a great drive.
• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge of Norwegian language is an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills at a professional level.
