Do you have extensive commercial and contractual experience combined with strong negotiation skills? Would you like to use your offshore wind industry experience and play a key role in the vessel chartering process at MHI Vestas?
Tasks & responsibilities: You will…
…take on a leading role in the vessel tendering as well as in the negotiation of charter parties for installation vessels. One of the keys to success in this role is that you acquire knowledge of all relevant companies and their vessel fleet which have potential for the execution of MHI Vestas projects. You will for instance do this by building and maintaining good relationships with vessel companies in this area. You will draft appropriate contractual wording and amendments to standard forms and conduct commercial evaluation of installation vessel tenders and other vessel charter-related documents.
You will also be responsible for:
Preparing and managing request for quotations for vessel tenders Participating in relevant internal meetings covering the strategy for offshore vessel deployments as well as in interface meetings with clients, vessel providers and other contractors to ensure that information and assignments are exchanged between parties Preparing feasibility studies and business cases in connection with charter arrangements Providing input and review confidential technologies and new offshore logistics concepts
Skills & experience: Our new colleague…
…has preferably 10+ years of experience within the offshore renewable industry and/or offshore vessel chartering. Candidates with less experience might also be considered. It is required that you have substantial commercial and contractual experience combined with strong negotiation skills. As a person, you are an independent self-starter able to manage own workload with minimal supervision. You have an analytical approach to problem-solving and minimising exposure to commercial and contractual risks.
We expect that you:
Hold a relevant university degree and/or have relevant professional institute qualifications Are familiar with BIMOC WINDTIME and SUPPLYTIME standard forms of contracts Have excellent organisation, time management and communication skills Have advanced knowledge of MS Office, e.g. Excel Are flexible and can adapt to market changes Are a team player
