The department is highly experienced and delivers engineering and consultancy services on a global scale within the energy sector. You will be working closely together with very skilled structural engineers in a team with a wealth of experience to draw upon, which together with great variety in tasks give you a unique possibility for a steep learning curve.</p><p>Our services cover a broad range of services within the Structural discipline. We cover all phases of a project including concept and feasibility studies, FEED, detailed engineering, EPC and follow-up engineering during fabrication.</p><p><strong>Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:</strong></p><ul><li>Work as senior structural engineer on topside structural offshore projects. Focus will typically be on structural layout, design and construction. Project types can vary from initial studies to full detailed design projects. Projects can be greenfield designs as well as brownfield modification projects.</li><li>Set up and develop overall structural layouts and design of structural solutions for our clients</li><li>Provide structural design for topside steel structure solutions, perform analysis and make joints/connections design according to project requirements.</li><li>Prepare design calculations and reporting via structural analysis programs or desktop calculations</li><li>Coordinate with other design disciplines and structural 3D/2D CAD team to deliver structural drawings</li><li>Design and solve structural details yourself and guide and mentor junior engineers incl. input for 3D/2D CAD drafting bringing drawings up to final issue for construction</li><li>Reassessment of existing offshore topsides structures via global analyses of the full structural system</li><li>Project tasks will vary from smaller to larger projects with varying length, content and complexity (From concept to Detail Design)</li><li>Occasionally work as Lead Structural Engineer on structural topside projects, depending on project complexity and size</li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>Your starting point for constant growth</strong></p><p>From the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is:</p><ul><li>Bachelor or Master’s degree in engineering, preferably in Structural/Civil, or alternatively Mechanical</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience within design of (offshore) steel structures.</li><li>Understanding of what it takes to design, analyse and document offshore topside structures according to the prevailing codes</li><li>Working experience with finite element analysis of structures using ROSAP, SACS or similar for beam/truss- and plated/stressed skin structures and detail design of structures, is an advantage.</li><li>Good communication skills in English with the ability to work as part of a team interfacing with other disciplines and other stakeholders both in person and remotely.</li><li>Ability to actively participate in structural team development and individual professional growth with a mindset and skills to focus on efficient solutions through standardisation and automation of work processes.</li></ul><p> </p><p>Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include: a social, positive and extrovert personality, a proactive and result-driven nature capable of working both alone and in project teams, large degree of adaptability, cultural awareness and capability of building up strong work relationships, a confident communicator and capable of innovative thinking while combining your strong technical background with practical solutions.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>Welcome to our Energy division</strong></p><p>Ramboll is at the forefront of addressing the green transition and offers a holistic approach to energy that supports the sector on the journey towards more sustainable solutions.
