Sales Global Construction Management Global Construction Planning
Vestas Global Construction Management, established under the CSO, is a bridge to the regional Sales Business Units (SBU’s), and contributing to improve the company’s revenue. We do this by promoting top-line construction business development through increasing the Vestas scope e.g. EPC/Plant Sales Solutions and continuous cost improvement by coordinating global project/construction improvement initiatives.

In Global Construction we have a natural split between the top line focus areas; EPC, Planning & Revenue and Continuous Cost Improvements via the departments Global Construction Engineering and Cost Engineering. All anchored in a centralised function in the Vestas Commercial office, Copenhagen.

Construction planning - also known as project planning - is initiated by sales and implemented to track execution output from the Construction business. This is done in close collaboration with stakeholders from regional and corporate functions. It is our job to:

  1. Ensure that the best construction sales planning practices are applied to sales projects by supporting the construction elements
  2. Ensure financial optimisation (cash, revenue and profitability) between the supply and construction execution plans
  3. Ensure that best practices are gathered and applied in a learning organisation

The position is responsible for Construction planning development and maintenance of the delivery, management and execution of project portfolios within the tolerances and boundaries of time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefits.

Responsibilities
In addition to the above, your responsibilities will cover:

  • Develop and maintain the Construction planning tools (Primavera 6) and best planning practices to continuously improve and influence the financial forecasting accuracy related to construction cash-flow, revenue and working capital of the company
  • Be a key member of an integrated team to optimise and maximise Vestas Supply Chain capacity output at the best possible cost
  • Create and maintain project planning portfolio overview (scope, resources, timelines, risks, budget)
  • Responsible for prioritising, escalating and mitigating construction planning portfolio risks and translating them into business risks across the Vestas value chain
  • Ensure and maintain a 12 months resource and budget forecast within the portfolio planning, including reporting and escalating portfolio overview to management and stakeholders
  • Create and maintain high level project overview and ensure alignment with stakeholders
  • Ensure a unified framework / methodology for all projects in the portfolio
  • Ensure project planning excellence throughout the global Construction organisation, including coaching and training

Qualifications

  • Experience in sales / construction project planning and execution from a global environment with matrix structure
  • Solid educational background with a relevant business, engineering or finance degree at Master level or higher
  • Fluent in English, other languages are advantageous
  • Advanced know-how within project/construction planning (Primavera) and analytics
  • SAP and SAP analytics an advantage

Additional information
