Brüel & Kjær Vibro employs a total of 230 employees, of which about 30 are based in the Danish Head Office in Nærum. The customer base includes major production companies within the oil, petro and power industries.
The Wind Service Group works as one team in 3 individual locations world wide in order to enable systems and software to perform remote monitoring of especially Wind Turbines, i.e. CMS (Conditioning Monitoring System). Over the recent years the CMS business has experienced growth across many customer segments and faces challenging and growing demands on the Company’s services and products.
With the objective to support and develop these activities Brüel & Kjær Vibro is seeking an Engineer for the team located in Nærum, north of Copenhagen.
Communication and development
In this position you will be responsible for:
• Providing support to CMS installations, -monitoring, analyzing and diagnosing in-coming vibration data.
• Support and preparation of the CMS commissioning phases and projects.
• Performing vibration analyses and reports on faults of Wind Turbines bases upon available vibration and process data.
• You will either already hold or will be trained to the level of Minimum Vibration Analyst ISO Cat.II level.
The right candidate will be able to work independently, but in close alignment and co-operation with the other team members and the customer’s service organization. You should be able to handle and document customer requests, have good communication skills and provide feedback and reports for CMS projects and task, at different levels. You will be responsible for reporting of malfunctions and irregularities to the customer and ensure that appropriate recommendations are given based on data and knowledge.
In addition, you will participate in the development and testing of new monitoring setup’s, hardware and software and improvement of existing ones.
Technical mindset
Your working style is thorough and well-structured, and therefore you are not afraid to thinking out of the box. You are able to translate analytical data into useful information, and you find it stimulating to be a member of an international environment. Being efficient, you manage to stay ahead, and when needed you are able to compensate with an extra effort to consistently perform according to objectives.
Preferred candidates should have a background in mechanical- or wind engineering and are accustomed to working with maintenance and project techniques, vibration and frequency analysis as well as having a good knowledge within setup of network communication. You will possess the ability to work at heights and in small environments on site. It is possible to be newly graduated. Furthermore, you are required to have excellent IT and English skills. Travel will be about 20-30 days a year.
