JUNIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER FOR BRIDGE OR TUNNEL DEPARTMENTS IN LYNGBY
Our International Bridge & Tunnel team has a full set of world-class competencies, which in combination with local presence and experience, allow our dedicated professionals to take on the most complex projects anywhere in the world. We are experienced in all types of bridges, tunnels and earth retaining structures needed in sectors ranging from highways, metros, railways, to energy and power, and we cover the entire lifecycle of a project from idea, concept and design to operation and maintenance.

DESIGN THE FUTURE WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTS
In this position, you will join our global team of specialists designing a variety of tunnel & bridge projects. Your primary task in our team will be to assist a highly professional team that provides consulting, project management, and detailed engineering expertise on numerous tunnel design, rehabilitation, and condition assessment projects.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:

Some of our on-going projects are:
- Femern Tunnel: Linking Denmark and Germany it will be the longest immersed tunnel in the world and the largest infrastructure project in Denmark’s history!
- 1915 Çanakkale Bridge in Turkey: Suspension bridge with a world record main span of 2023 m
- Västlänken: underground railway tunnels and stations in the centre of Gothenburg.
DESIGN THE FUTURE WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTS
In this position, you will join our global team of specialists designing a variety of tunnel & bridge projects. Your primary task in our team will be to assist a highly professional team that provides consulting, project management, and detailed engineering expertise on numerous tunnel design, rehabilitation, and condition assessment projects.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:
- Contribute to projects from initial concept, through the planning process to implementation leading to the successful completion of projects in the area of responsibility
- Perform analysis of complex Tunnels & Bridge structures
- Prepare design calculations and drawings following applicable design codes and perform field inspections
- Prepare work plans, schedules, quantity take-offs and budgets along with standard documents, such as technical specifications
- Work collaboratively with CAD technicians and prepare engineering and geotechnical reports and other technical documents

You should have:
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or similar
- Solid structural understanding particularly within design of concrete structures
- 3-5 years of experience within structural design
- Finite element model experience (Abaqus, SoFiSTiK, Robot, STAAD or similar)
- Willingness to travel to meet clients or construction sites
- Experience with Virtual Programming applications such Grasshopper/Rhino or Dynamo
- Experience with Revit, Tekla or Civil 3D
- Ability to communicate effectively in a Scandinavian language can be an advantage
