SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER FOR TUNNEL AND UNDERGROUND INFRASTRUCTURE DEPARTMENT IN LYNGBY
Our tunnel team has a full set of world-class competencies, which in combination with local presence and experience, allow our dedicated professionals to take on the most complex projects anywhere in the world. We are experienced in all types of tunnels and earth retaining structures needed in sectors ranging from highways, metros, railways, to energy and power, and we cover the entire lifecycle of a project from idea, concept and design to operation and maintenance.

DESIGN THE FUTURE WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTS
In this position, you will join our global team of specialists designing a variety of tunnel projects. Your role is to drive / lead structural design tasks with a technical focus and while interacting with the team and clients.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:

SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER FOR TUNNEL AND UNDERGROUND INFRASTRUCTURE DEPARTMENT IN LYNGBY

We are experienced in all types of tunnels and earth retaining structures needed in sectors ranging from highways, metros, railways, to energy and power, and we cover the entire lifecycle of a project from idea, concept and design to operation and maintenance.
Some of our on-going projects are:
- Femern Tunnel: Linking Denmark and Germany it will be the longest immersed tunnel in the world and the largest infrastructure project in Denmark’s history!
- Svanemøllen Stormwater Tunnel in Copenhagen
- Västlänken: Underground railway tunnels and stations in the centre of Gothenburg
DESIGN THE FUTURE WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTS
In this position, you will join our global team of specialists designing a variety of tunnel projects. Your role is to drive / lead structural design tasks with a technical focus and while interacting with the team and clients.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:
- structural designing which includes developing design, preparation / checking calculations, reports and drawings
- technically leading the team or project, mentoring of staff, developing and implementing design best practices, ensuring design conformance with codes and client requirements
- leading proposals for new assignments/ projects, budgeting, and preparing contract documents
- forecasting, resource allocation, scheduling
- building relationships with clients and other stakeholders through meetings and site visits

Furthermore, you have:
- master's degree in civil engineering or similar field and 10+ years of experience within structural design
- solid structural understanding particularly within design of concrete structures
- experience with Revit, Tekla or Civil 3D. Finite element model experience (Abaqus, SoFiSTiK, Robot, STAAD or similar). experience with Virtual Programming applications such Grasshopper/Rhino or Dynamo
- experience with preparation of proposals, fee estimates, and business development. Ability to provide technical leadership and to lead a project team.
- willingness to travel to meet clients or construction sites
- ability to communicate effectively in a Scandinavian language is an advantage
