Owing to increased workload and development within our Marine and Geotechnical sector, we now seek to recruit an engineer to join our team of more than 30 geotechnical engineers at our head office in Lyngby and get an opportunity to work on challenging and complex projects, gaining hands on experience in both technical and commercial aspects.
COWI's group of geotechnical engineers around the world counts more than 200 staff supporting infrastructure projects all over the world.
MAINTAINING THE OVERVIEW
As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be based at our office in Lyngby and will be responsible for our minor Danish geotechnical projects, where you will act as a point of contact for a number of internal and external clients, who will need geotechnical support on everything from planning of geotechnical investigation campaigns and supervision jobs to design tasks and reporting. Some of the requests you will take care of yourself, others you will hand over to colleagues. However, common for all requests is that they will be anchored with you.
We are looking for a candidate having experience with supervision and design of geotechnical structures, such as direct foundations, slopes and retaining walls. Professionally you should have high standards for the design and consultancy you provide with the ability to have many balls in the air.

We are looking for a candidate holding a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in geotechnical engineering with at least 3 years of relevant post-graduation experience within geotechnical engineering.
This position accordingly requires a candidate who has experience with geotechnical supervision and holds strong theoretical and practical knowledge of geotechnical design in the fields of foundation and retaining structures. In addition, you should have a good insight in construction methods as well as contractor’s capabilities and restrictions.

We are looking for a candidate having experience with supervision and design of geotechnical structures, such as direct foundations, slopes and retaining walls. Professionally you should have high standards for the design and consultancy you provide with the ability to have many balls in the air.
Additionally, your responsibilities would include but not limited to:-
- Coordination of drilling and laboratory campaigns
- Coordination of supervision jobs
- Geotechnical supervision
- Preparation of data reports, interpretation reports and desk studies
- Interpreting geotechnical site and laboratory tests
- Completing small and medium design tasks
- Providing technical input to geotechnical tasks like earthworks, direct foundations, pile foundations, slopes, groundwater control, retaining structures, settlements and similar.

We are looking for a candidate holding a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in geotechnical engineering with at least 3 years of relevant post-graduation experience within geotechnical engineering.
