We are searching for a Data steward

in the Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) area where we are developing and delivering solutions to our customers – Danish banks – as part of the AML (Anti Money Laundering) Program. This is a stable job position located in city center of Warsaw (Poland) or Roskilde (Denmark) office. You will join the FCP Data Integration team and working with all AML teams and beyond you will be responsible for data strategy, its governance, data linage and maintenance. The FCP Data Integration team is responsible for receiving, handling, delivery and integration of data for all other FCP teams within AML. The Data Analyst will effectively “guide” the teams for successful data usage and as well maintain the overall governance over FCP data strategy and development of new solutions.

Primary task and responsibilities include:

Delivery responsibility:

  • You are responsible for the data domain’s domain abstract and logical data model and you are involved in important relevant changes to those data models
  • You facilitate data understanding and modelling of the data domain in the different teams for e.g., publishing data with different purposes
  • You are the primary contact for questions within the data domain and provide customer support when needed
  • You know about UML/ER modelling and relevant tools: BPMN, EPO, DIVa, enterprise architect, Data quality tools
  • Proactively identify and ensure needed activities on relevant backlogs and 5Q roadmap to ensure data is and will be in good condition - work with SAs, POs before PI planning
  • You collaborate with main stakeholders to ensure we have a target state for the data domain. You also collaborate with Enterprise Data Management to mature (data) standards and guidelines
  • Facilitates identification of the AML master data assets and the data governance within the data domain.
  • Ensure and assists the creation and maintenance of Data Sharing Agreements
  • Work in international environment with teams spread between Poland and Denmark (with possible travels to Denmark if needed)

Data quality responsibility:

  • Minimize data variance in deliveries and maintenance
  • Identify and refine data quality issues and enterprise (data quality) risks
  • You have the knowledge of the data domains data quality situation and/or its data quality requirements to other data domains
  • Help to ensure data is not unnecessarily replicated and that data are reused across processes and systems
  • Gives input and review of classification of data e.g.GDPR classification of data, GDPR awareness schemas
  • Work as a SPOC for FCP domain related to data governance
  • Work and help Domain Architects / Team Architect, Enterprise Data Management, System owner / Development manager / Development director and Other data stewards in bec and in the financial institutions
  • Govern FCP data strategy and take corrective actions if necessary
  • Identify and mitigate risks, resolve „pitch points” in development & goals delivery – related to data governance
  • Participate in effort estimates required to develop described feature, where technical details are estimated by experts in the area, according the SAFe ways of working

To succeed you will have:

  • 3+ years of commercial experience (ideally in IT industry)
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar position
  • You understand the data lifecycle of the data across systems and platforms. You understand corresponding data domains.
  • Practical familiarity and proficiency in usage of tools: MS Office, Jira (inc. SQL), Confluence
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – i.e. ability to provide concise status to management
  • Ability to facilitate effective workshops
  • Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail – pragmatic, service minded
  • Conflict navigation and management
  • Positive attitude to work
  • Immanent drive for improvement, pro-activeness – can-do attitude
  • Very good command of English - with colleagues in teams distributed in Denmark and Poland, you must master English at a high level both in writing and orally (with possible travels to Denmark if needed)
  • Nice to have familiarity with agile way or working (eg. Scrum or SAFe)
