LEO Pharma has embarked on a very ambitious journey to become the world’s preferred dermatology care partner – and that is why we need you. You will be a part of a great Pilot Plant team with increasing activities to support LEO Pharma’s 2030 strategy by manufacturing small molecules for development projects.
In Chemical Manufacturing Development you will get the opportunity to make a significant difference for people with serious skin diseases all over the world.
The job
As our new colleague in the Pilot Plant team, you will participate in optimizing and manufacturing new chemical processes. The work will be conducted in close collaboration with highly skilled chemists and technicians. Your daily work will consist of hands-on work in the pilot plant and operational tasks related to this:
- Optimizing and manufacturing of API for pre-clinical and clinical trials, including documentation according to GMP
- Scaling up synthetic chemistry processes from ~5L to 2000L scale
- Handling of all activities related to manufacture from raw materials to cleaning after production
- Maintenance of the Pilot Plant
- Responsibility for equipment and related documentation
Your qualifications
- Technical education such as “Kemotekniker”, Process Technologist or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience from working with process development, scale-up and GMP production
- You have experience with synthetic organic chemistry
- You have a practical approach to problem solving
- You are able to read and understand both English and Danish
We are looking for a team player with a good spirit and the ability to keep the overview during a day with many different tasks and interactions. You thrive in a dynamic environment where tasks and priorities change rapidly and not all challenges are known in advance. You are able to take responsibility for tasks, also when they are not clear cut.
Your new team
You will join the Chemical Development area consisting of around 30 dedicated scientists and technicians divided in three teams. You will be placed in the Chemical Manufacturing Development team, which is responsible for manufacturing API’s for all LEO Pharma’s development projects within small molecules, both for pre-clinical and clinical studies and for formulation development.
