As part of Novo Nordisk’s R&D family, Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) Development makes a real difference for patients with chronic diseases across the world. We develop manufacturing processes and manufacture all new oral products out of our research units in our pilot plants, ensuring that we bring best-in-class treatments to the market. Our ambition is to develop break-through products based on orally available versions of GLP-1 and other molecules.
About the department
In Oral Pilot & Process Development we are 80+ colleagues, organised in three teams. We are responsible for formulation, process development, and manufacturing of oral protein products for preclinical and clinical trials. The department covers a broad and exciting range of process technologies for solid dosage forms. We also cover technical support, project management and execution related to qualification of equipment, utilities and facility.
The job
As Pilot Scientist you will be responsible for GMP productions of solid dosage forms of different development projects for phase I and II clinical trials in our oral pilot plant. This includes participating in technical transfer of projects, preparation of Master Batch Records and related quality documentation for the production, incl. batch review and release of products. During productions, you will have close collaboration with the technicians responsible for executing the production, since you will provide technical and process support when needed. Through systematic problem solving you will handle deviations related to the production. Furthermore, using LEAN you will be responsible for continuous improvement of the process for production and release of solid dosage forms.
In addition, you will also coordinate project activities in the department in close collaboration with GMP technicians, formulations scientists, drug product coordinators and line management. We aim for future solutions within automation and digitalisation and you will take great part in this implementation. Other responsibilities linked to the job could be material responsible, process responsible or involvement in external productions at contract manufactures.
Qualifications
You have a Master’s degree or similar and experience within the pharmaceutical industry. Preferable, you have experience with GMP and manufacture of Solid Dosage Forms e.g. within mixing, granulation and/or compression. You enjoy working in a dynamic environment, where teamwork is at the top of the agenda. Also, you are innovative, focused on results and quality – and ready to contribute to the next generation of GLP-1. We expect you to be ready to embrace changes and to have a strong can-do and quality mind-set.
On a personal level, you are a self-starter taking responsibility for your tasks. We expect you to have good collaboration and communication skills, a structured and reliable way of working and the ability to make the right decisions. Preferably you understand and write Danish.
