You will join the Group function "Finance & IT", which leads NCC´s strategic development and major change programs in the business. Finance & IT is NCC's development and delivery function for IT as well as operations development and research & innovation. We are a Nordic organization with 140+ employees working together closely under one common management. Cooperation in- and between units is key for us to deliver value to NCCs business areas, and therefore we have adapted an Agile team-based setup with focus on collaboration, people and efficient delivery and development.

Your role and responsibilities

As our Data Architect you will be responsible for our data architecture and master data management. We think that a mix of strategic thinking and turning architectural trends into practice energizes you to get things done.

In this position you will

• be responsible for designing, anchoring, and visualizing easily accessible, secure data aligned with business needs and strategy
• define the processes involved in developing, testing, and maintaining the master data management solution
• develop and implement the organizational data strategy that is in line with business processes. The strategy includes data model designs, database development standards, implementation and management of data warehouses and data analytics systems
• in cooperation with our data governance lead facilitate data ownership
• identifying data sources, both internal and external, and working out a plan for data management that is aligned with organizational data strategy
• coordinating and collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors for the smooth functioning of the enterprise data system
• managing end-to-end data architecture, from selecting the platform, designing the technical architecture, and developing the application to finally testing and implementing the proposed solution
• plan and execute solutions for different types of data including master data, transactional data, meta data and big data
• develop migration approaches for development projects, and solutions for archiving of data

Your profile
We think that you can analyze and define master data management directions and propose alternatives to improve the overall integrity of the data architecture and how data is collected and shared across the company. You have strong inter-personal skills and you find it easy to interact with people on all organizational levels and explain your intentions to others.

You will be very important for us in our strategic journey, and we think that you have

• a university degree in information technology, computer science, computer engineering or similar
• master data management or information modeling experience in complex environments
• the ability to communicate clearly, simply, and effectively
• are fluent in English and one of the Nordic languages, both verbally and written

It is an advantage if you also have skills in

• Microsoft technologies for data management incl relevant Azure services
• ArchiMate, Sparx EA or similar
• experience of facilitating and documenting information modelling
• working with external suppliers
• technically implementing information models into existing systems

Additional information

This position can be in any of our major cities in the Nordics, but you will be working closely with our stakeholders located at our office in Stockholm, Sweden. The position may require some travelling within the Nordic countries, although we do apply a flexible way of working and strive to collaborate digitally as much as possible.
