In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to contribute to the future of energy in the US Power Markets. Your primary function will be to contribute to the development of quantitative solutions, algo trading strategies and weather forecasting.

Concretely, your areas of responsibility will include the following:
  • build advanced pricing and simulation models tailored for short-term and long-term futures in the US Power Markets
  • revise and back-test effective hedging strategies to manage risk
  • develop innovative trading tools to support decision-making processes
  • provide support in the pricing and reporting process for US Power Market products.
  • identify and implement operational optimizations to enhance efficiency in trading and analysis activities
  • build advanced pricing and simulation models tailored for short-term and long-term futures in the US Power Marketsrevise and back-test effective hedging strategies to manage riskdevelop innovative trading tools to support decision-making processesprovide support in the pricing and reporting process for US Power Market products.identify and implement operational optimizations to enhance efficiency in trading and analysis activitiesWe trade across the whole curve in all relevant US power markets and we are specialized in quantitative modelling for forecasting power prices, describing market dynamics and pricing products within the US Power Markets. Our team is based in Stamford, Connecticut, United States and collaborates closely with traders, portfolio managers and risk management teams at the Danish headquarters. As a team we embrace a collaborative environment where continuous learning and technical sharing are integral to our culture.As you will be carrying out analyses that require you to take various factors into consideration, we are looking for someone who takes a holistic approach to problem-solving. Also, bringing a collaborative mindset is important as you will be working with a broad and diverse group of stakeholders.We also imagine that you have:
  • a relevant educational background in Economics, Mathematics-Economics, Mathematics, Physics or a similar field
  • proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Matlab, C#, C++ or similar
  • experience working with databases
  • experience working with machine learning
  • an authorization to work in the United States
