Danske Commodities is currently looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join their dynamic data engineering team, playing a key role in shaping the future of their advanced data platforms.

Become a vital part of a team that significantly impacts the company's success:

Danske Commodities (DC) leads in energy trading, executing a vast amount of daily trades across more than 39 countries, ensuring energy is consistently moved from surplus areas to those in greatest need. In their Data Engineering & Architecture team (internally known as DARC), they equip business users, data scientists, and data analysts with tools to discover, explore, and analyze relevant data. DC delivers rapid and efficient data services to support the entire trading process, ensuring the best possible data-driven decisions. In the Quantitative Weather Analysis (QWA) Team, they use understanding of fundamental meteorology and cutting-edge machine learning technologies to deliver and visualise actionable insights into the structure of weather forecasts, and how daily, weekly, and monthly atmospheric variations impact energy markets. To achieve this, they are relying on an internal system called Weather Infrastructure Systems (WIS), which is a robust and scalable platform for handling, analysing and processing extremely large volumes of weather data (more than 400TB), and delivering them to end-users in a streamlined manner for making informed commercial decisions. The WIS-platform is first-and-foremost a data interface based on a collaboration with multiple departments in DC, such as IT, QWA and DARC.

The role: Skilled data engineer with a strong technical background

As their new colleague, you'll primarily collaborate with their Automated Trading team, which develops, implements, and monitors algorithmic trading strategies.
