Inspirational Leader for data science and modelling team
Do you have the ability and aspiration to lead and inspire a team of highly skilled data scientists? Can you interact and communicate professionally with the business and drive it to make smart operational decisions through data? Do you have a passion for data combined with a strong and holistic business understanding?
We are looking for a Leader for our data science and modelling team (called Performance and Diagnostics). Your overall responsibility will be to lead and guide a team of 9 employees as well as representing and promoting the team across the MHI Vestas value chain and with external parties. You will be based at our headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark.
Tasks & responsibilities: You will…
…be overall responsible for department tasks, overseeing the budget and for supervising the departmental and contractual deliveries. You will be the formal point of contact for internal stakeholders and you will be responsible for recognising and solving potential problems and risks to support operational effectiveness.
Your key focus areas will be:
Strategy – Defining, maintaining and updating the roadmap for MHI Vestas to be at the forefront of data usage in the industry. Data Governance, handling, analytics and modelling – control WTG data governance in MHI Vestas, ensure proper handling of such data. Coordinate the resources in the team to prioritise analyses of data and development of models for use in data driven maintenance of WTGs. Performance Insights and Reporting – gathering and quality control of WTG performance data leading to business critical reports for use in operational decision making, claims management and invoicing towards external parties
Skills & experience: Our new colleague…
…..has proven experience either from a direct or indirect leadership position – preferably from a company working with big amounts of data. You have a passion for data and understand how to use data for the benefit of the business without being an expert yourself. Strong relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally will be essential to ensure strong performance in the role and the team; you must therefore have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills as well as a strong and holistic business understanding. Ideally you hold a degree in a STEM subject and whilst an MBA or equivalent business qualification would also be an advantage.
