Power Solutions Applications, Controls & Electrical Plant Data & Optimization
Modelling & Analytics, Plant Data & Optimisation is part of Vestas Power Solutions, is responsible for the products and services related to Vestas Plant Data Offerings. We have a strong and diverse team that consists from Data engineers, Data Scientists and High-Performance Computing engineers. This ranges across real time data collection from thousands of power plants, data storage and data analytics on a combined Data warehouse and High-Performance Computing setup supporting multiple data applications for our customers. The goal is to bring down the cost of energy by leveraging the vast amount of data that Vestas collects and stores from power plants around the globe.
Responsibilities
As Data warehouse developer in Plant Data & Optimisation, your primary areas of responsibility are to:

To fulfil the position, you have a couple of years of experience with data warehouse development. This is preferably combined with a relevant education (minimum at bachelor level) for example in software engineering, computer science or similar. We envision that you have experience or are familiar with the following:

Responsibilities
As Data warehouse developer in Plant Data & Optimisation, your primary areas of responsibility are to:
- Design and supports database and table schemas for new and existent data sources for the data warehouse
- Translate business needs into technical data designs
- Design and execute implementation of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) data pipelines
- Work on feasibility studies of new technologies
- Work with data science and analytics development teams in Plant Data & Optimisation area to ensure best practice, performance and reliability is in place
Qualifications
To fulfil the position, you have a couple of years of experience with data warehouse development. This is preferably combined with a relevant education (minimum at bachelor level) for example in software engineering, computer science or similar. We envision that you have experience or are familiar with the following:
- Data warehouse data models and proficiency with ETL tools
- MS SQL, SSIS, SSAS (MDX/DAX)
- GIT and JIRA or similar tools
Below would be seen desirable:
- Experience with Cloud platform
- Knowledge of Spark & Hadoop, Scala, Kafka, Python, C#, Java
- DevOps process and associated tools, e.g. Azure DevOps and Ansible
