Scandinavian Tobacco Group is looking to strengthen our Information Management team with an experienced Data Analyst with strong hands-on skills and a drive to make a difference in a global company. Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG) has embarked on a digital transformation journey turning the company from a struggling data organization with many local data environments and processes to a genuinely global and data-driven business.
Leading the transformation is the Information Management department responsibility for delivering several high prioritized data projects within the organization. Among these projects is the development of a new cloud-based data management environment, where we consolidate, clean, and harmonize data to ensure a single version of truth for our colleagues to access across the organization.
The department is also responsible for implementing global data governance and increase data literacy skills within the organization to ensure data, analytics, and organizational performance management becomes part of the corporate DNA.
As our new data analyst, you will be part of a team that consists of 10 dedicated data specialists and several external consultants. You will play a key role in analyzing and understanding our current legacy environment to ensure correct data mapping to the global information model. You will also play an essential role in rolling out our data governance framework across all domains and train our business colleagues in data literacy and BI self-service.
As we are in the early stages of our journey, you will have a chance to play a key role and influence the future of STG as we mature to become a data-driven organization.

- Drive initiatives to globalize our data assets and increase data quality and availability
- Drive data literacy initiatives to increase our organizational capabilities to work with data
- Be instrumental in the establishment of BI and master data communities within STG
- Build corporate reports and dashboards to support and enable the data-driven way of working
- Be a trusted sparring partner for our data stewards and data champions across the company
Whom we are looking for:
The ideal candidate would be an experienced and pragmatic data analyst with good hands-on skills within the data domain. More specifically, we expect you to have:
- Participated in establishing data governance in a global company
- Extensive experience analyzing source systems and mapping them to a global information model
- Excellent data modeling competencies
- Substantial experience with data visualization to help drive better business decisions
- Master SQL and Transact-SQL as well as Data Analysis Extensions (DAX)
- Worked with Microsoft data management tools including Power BI, PowerPivot
- Experience with agile and time-boxed development principles, e.g., XP, Scrum

- Inspire and coach colleagues to work with data as a strategic asset
