To say it plainly, there are no company in Denmark which can compete with Terma in interesting and diverse opportunities for AI applications. We are working on applying AI to a multiple array of sensor types as well as behavior models for ships, aircrafts etc.
Build AI/ML solutions for the defence industry
We have the ambition to become the best company in Denmark to apply AI technology. We are not there yet, and we have a lot of challenges you only find here. E.g. How to develop AI/ML based solutions on data which is classified? And cannot be on the internet? Or how do we provide maritime situational awareness dominance with sensor fusion across multiple domains? The European defence industry needs a massive digital transformation and Terma wants to be in the front of this transformation. Do you want to help us with that?
We also have the challenge of moving from being a hardware focused company to build our future as building future solutions on data. While that is a cultural/ methodological challenge, it also gives us a competitative advantage, because we understand how the data has been created on a deep hardware level.

Education & Experience:
For this role we expect you to hold a relevant degree in engineering, computer science or a related field with a large ML component in the degree, or equivalent work experience. Besides this, it matters to us that you have motivation and passion on our journey and your willingness to learn new technologies on a regular basis.

Being successful for us is a team effort, and our team is based on mutual trust in each other’s expertise and an informal communication. Key responsibilities:
- Develop Data Science AI solutions in e.g. image recognition, behavioral anomaly detection, signal processing.
- Work with domain experts across the organization
- Tackle the challenges of real-world data
Key Technologies for us:
- Solutions for production are always Python
- Linux and Docker knowledge is useful
- Standard Python Data Science tools e.g. Tensorflow, Pytorch, Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib etc.
