Would you like to be part of solving complex data engineering and analysis problems across a number of technologies and business areas?
Do you enjoy thinking creatively about how to approach and bring structure to different data types, including unstructured data? And can you communicate clearly to different types of stakeholders?
We are looking for a data engineer to take an active role in an ongoing project, where you will be collaborating with a team of external consultants as well as stakeholders across the Finance organisation.
Finance and Finance Equipment are 100% owned subsidiaries of Bank. We finance large and small - everything from glasses to construction machinery.
About this opportunity
As our new data engineer, you will sit in our Collection team where your first role will be in the Data and Analytics stream, a currently ongoing remediation program. Here you will get to work closely with a team of data analysts/scientists who are sourcing, exploring and structuring data for a number of issues that require remediation.
The team has already built a data platform using SSMS, but as the project has evolved the need for an additional resource to take more steering on the platform has been identified. Additionally, in the near-future the platform is likely to be migrated to Snowflake, and the project will start working with data currently located in Hadoop.
