About the mission

Your misson as business area controller is to further develop the business control within the business area and to guide and support the business control teams in the six divisions. To lead and develop the controlling processes of the business area in compliance with Atlas Copco rules and guidelines with the objective to improve speed, quality and reliability of the reporting and to follow-up the business of Industrial Technique by overlooking reporting and consolidation data. This means that you provide early warning signals, evaluate trends, analyse deviations, suggest, develop and evaluate activities/actions to support the business area goals and targets. Part of your mission is also to secure that the Business Area operates in line with "The way we do things".

You have a key role in the management team and participate in business development activities and thereby actively contribute in developing our business in line with our strategy for growth. You will be a member of several legal and operational boards and extensive travelling is required.

In addition to your responsibilities in the Business Area, you will also be part of the Group's Accounting & Business Control Council. Under the leadership of the Group Controller, you are in this capacity expected to contribute actively to the development of accounting and business control practices in the whole Group.

In this position you will also lead the business area IS IT team and the shared service center in Prague and steer and stimulate the business process alignment, digitalization, and improvement of processes across the different divisions.

You will report to the Business Area President of Industrial Technique Business Area.

Main responsibilities

• To actively take part in business development activities and acquisitions and to lead the financial evaluation of potential acquisitions to support Industrial Technique growth strategy.
• To actively participate in Business Boards and Business review meetings.
• To undertake performance and ad-hoc analyses of different levels within the Business Area.
• To lead the Business Area IS IT team and execution of the IT strategy and digitalization roadmap for the Business Area.
• You will also chair the business area shared service center in Prague.
• To ensure that adequate internal control processes are in place and that Atlas Copco Group processes are followed in the spirit of "The Way We Do Things".
• To be responsible for the monthly closings of the Business Area and to support Business Area management with financial analysis, reports and forecasts.
• To ensure that the sustainability metrics provided to internal and external stakeholders are relevant, compliant, and accurate and to lead the overall execution of the sustainability strategy.
• To drive improvement projects in the area of administration and business control. This includes delivering the Digital strategy on process automation and achieving zero reporting in line with Group ambitions, investigating lean activities within our Divisional set-up to increase agility in our processes and methods.
• Work closely with Group functions including Controlling, Tax & Treasury and Investor relations.

The position also has a responsibility for the Global Trade Compliance function which is tasked with ensuring that all Industrial Technique business is fully compliant with all legal and commercial regulations. You will also be the Manager of a highly qualified team.

Your profile

We are looking for a senior business controller with international experience and solid knowledge from divisional business control function and other financial positions. You need a thorough knowledge and experience of finance, administration procedures and information systems. Strong leadership, communication and organizational capabilities is a must. You should have a track record of providing excellent business control, good understanding of the 'The Way we Do Things' is crucial. Experience of taking active part in one or several acquisition projects.

Knowledge
You have a solid understanding of the Finance & Administration procedures (FAM). A very good knowledge in English is a must, as are excellent communication and presentation skills.

Educational requirements
University degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
