The Challenge and Opportunity
In this newly established role as Vice President of Commercial Program Management, you will report to the Executive Vice President of our global commercial organization and be part of the global commercial team. You will work closely with the senior management level across the organization and Executive Management to ensure oversight and strategic direction across programs.

You will lead a dedicated global team of experienced Program and Project managers who handle projects and complex programs and one of the first tasks is to design, staff and establish your leadership team consisting of a number of Project Directors. Program/project methodology and ways of working will be defined and implemented by you and your team, according to size of projects. Projects can range from billion DKK multiyear projects to single one time installation events; and process, reporting and way of working will reflect that difference.

Your areas of responsibility
Your core responsibilities will cover:

  • Manage all Customer Projects and Programs and be responsible for the project and program portfolio overview across Business Areas (BAs) and regions.
  • Manage large, complex programs inside or across BAs and Danish Prime projects, as well as enabling structures, resources, processes, and tools to cater for increased program complexity and a broader stakeholder landscape.
  • Coordinate activities and facilitate collaboration between Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Legal, and Finance, and own the Program Management governance and reporting structure for project schedule, scope, financial (including EVM) & risk management, quality and compliance issues.
  • Support efficient involvement in pipeline opportunities and Key Accounts by giving input according Program Lifecycle Handling to secure right inputs for e.g. Bid/No bid process.
  • Competency development and staff trainings on program management, QA/QC, and learning for Program Management Office staff to achieve best-in-class team performance.
  • Be part of key decision forums in Global Sales.

How to succeed in this position?
As a professional, you have a commercial mindset and a proven track record of both leading and developing a Program Management Office of which you have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience from the high-tech industry with high complexity and global outlook.

Further, you bring to the table:

  • A master’s degree in Strategy, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or relevant field
  • Proven ability to provide strategic leadership, vision and direction and impact decision-making processes.
  • Passion for project and program management, growth, and continuous improvement

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels in a complex and fast-paced matrix organization.

  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Solid experience in executive presence
  • Significant global/international working environment experience
  • Excellent leadership skills

The position is placed either in Terma’s headquarters in Lystrup or in Søborg, Denmark.
