An exciting opportunity for a senior leader as global head of Novo Nordisk Quality Audits where you will be accountable for all quality audits across Novo Nordisk’s value chain.

Your team is part of Novo Nordisk Quality (NNQ), a global organisation with more than 2,000 employees, whereof approx. half of them are anchored in a matrix organisation with indirect reference to Novo Nordisk Quality (NNQ). NNQ is overall responsible for quality across all business areas at Novo Nordisk. NNQ supports the company’s corporate strategy to run business in a simple and agile way and is known for spearheading a successful journey of driving simplifications at a global level, whilst maintaining high quality performance.

The conduct of quality audits is a cornerstone of the Novo Nordisk quality management system. Your team, Quality Audits, conducts more than 700 audits annually and is responsible for providing status and recommendations on GxP compliance to Executive Management.

About the department
Quality Audits is a global organisation with 70 employees, driven by the mission of providing Novo Nordisk Quality Management (NNQ Mgmt) and Executive Management assurance of high quality performance within GxP quality, e.g. GMP, GCP, GDP, PV and GLP.

Quality Audits delivers on our mission by striving for simplicity and conducting independent, objective and risk-based audits, escalating signals, trends and recommendation.

The position
As Corporate Vice President (CVP) for Quality Audits you are a member of NNQ Mgmt and the Novo Nordisk Recall Committee. Together with your colleagues in NNQ Mgmt you set direction for Quality at Novo Nordisk.

You are responsible for the Novo Nordisk quality audit programme which includes internal and external auditees from early research GLP, over GCP/GMP/GDP to GVP of marketed products.

It is your overall responsibility to safeguard our patients and never compromise on quality and at the same time continue to drive simplicity. You will head up the Quality Audits Management team consisting of 4 Directors based in Denmark and a Senior Manager based in India. Together with the management team, you will lead the organisation according to Novo Nordisk Way – our foundation that sets direction for all employees.

Since most of the team is based in Copenhagen, Denmark we expect you to spend a significant part of your time in Denmark. Global travel activity is to be expected.

Qualifications
You have a broad understanding of the pharmaceutical value chain and you are an experienced quality leader who has demonstrated the ability to lead through others. You possess leadership capabilities to gather a multi-facetted organisation into one unit. You have in-depth professional experience with GxP and regulations. As the position covers all therapeutic areas and all process steps, broad pharmaceutical experience is needed.

You are a strong and experienced leader with a proven leadership track record and the ability to create results in a complex stakeholder landscape. You have experience in change management and in driving organisational changes through others. You can see the big picture and possess a high abstraction level while providing clear priorities. You have a strategic mind-set, a deep business understanding and are known for your great stakeholder management skills. This means that you are an excellent communicator and are able to establish strong relations to line of business. With your ‘go do’ attitude you make sure we create simple and dynamic quality processes by understanding stakeholders’ businesses while never compromising on quality.

Furthermore, you are used to deliver in a diverse cross-functional matrix organisation, where you are recognised as a self-driven, visible, and courageous leader.
