Portfolio Manager, motivator and ingenuity

Every year we look for new opportunities to improve our financial performance through utilizing industry-proven techniques such as purchase price variance (PPV) analysis and value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE). We have a big pipeline of projects that requires your project and portfolio management expertise. We also rely on your ideas and abilities to see potential projects as we hope to add even more projects to lower our production costs.
Finally, we know that some of our 1,200 associates in Copenhagen and 3,900 worldwide can be utilized and are capable of contributing more to this objective with your help and perspectives.

Your tasks and focus

Through a portfolio of cross-functional cost saving projects, involving Operations, R&D and RA/QA you help deliver savings that support the growth of Radiometer. It involves strategic and operational conversations with Senior Leaders to ensure progress on individual projects and initiatives, while also setting directions for how to define our KPIs and build a roadmap of company-wide PPV/VA/VE portfolio challenging the way we do things today.

Your responsibilities can be summed up to the following:

• Ensure PPV and VAVE savings according to company expectations
• Lead the day-to-day operations of the portfolio, establish the working plan of each project phase
• Analyze and appraise the efficiency of methods, costs, and results
• Facilitate project review and checkpoint meetings
• Produce and analyze portfolio/project-level reports against key performance indicators
• Raise issues that threaten portfolio and project success
• Drive portfolio discussions and decision meetings
• Ensure creation of an ideas' funnel for future projects
The job takes you travelling around 10-15 % of your time. Our biggest manufacturing presence outside of Denmark is in Poland, Finland and the US.

Qualifications

You most likely have a bachelor's or master's degree within finance or engineering. Experience from driving product cost reductions through project management in an engineering company and with regular interactions in R&D and Operations is vital. This combined with the following increases your chances of success:
• Excellent planning and organizational skills with ability to drive deliverables to completion
• 5 years+ project management skills, preferably a PMP accreditation. Training and experience with Lean is a plus
• Extensive project and portfolio management experience combined with abilities to run portfolio analysis and PMO standards to challenge our current approaches
• Tools and standard work for structuring portfolio management
• Leadership experience
• You are used to working across functions in an international and large organization
