Time Type: Full Time
A unique opportunity to take a leading role in Sustainability in DSV with a direct impact on our ESG agenda.
Make your mark in a pivotal new role
Become part of DSV Group as Senior Director, Group Sustainability, working with a broad range of areas within the ESG agenda in one of the world largest logistics companies. You will work with frontrunners in the transport ESG world and be part of a global team culture in an industry that has a significant impact on the global supply chain.
Working out of our headquarters in Hedehusene, Denmark, you will manage a team working with Sustainability/ESG in a number of areas interacting with a range of other Group, divisional and local functions, also part of the Sustainability journey. You can look forward to joining a large company with plenty of possibilities for you to grow with and within the company.
The essence of the role is to ensure that DSV is always on par on various demands from stakeholders, external and internal, providing guidance as well as laying the ESG foundation. Also, the SD will play an integral part in the department’s support to the Sustainability Board on continuous improvements and risk management on the ESG agenda.
Overall, the Senior Director, Group Sustainability must ensure that
Given the nature of the role there are no defined KPIs, but our success criteria are that we at DSV are in front of demands, have addressed these and are aligned with important stakeholders. Furthermore, it is essential that DSV from both an internal and external point of view is elevated on this agenda, also from a ratings and communication point of view.
Exciting span of tasks across a highly prioritised area
The role is a new SD role following a reorganisation of the Sustainability/ESG area and will cover a number of areas within the ESG agenda and include among the below areas that you will drive with your team and the EVP, Group Sustainability & Compliance as well as other departments in DSV.
Put your ESG experience and personal drive into play
You have experience within the ESG area, but your educational/professional qualifications can vary (business, engineer, social or other higher education) and you have at least 3 years of management experience. 5-10 years of professional experience is preferred, and proficiency in oral and written English is a must.
You can effectively balance the focus and time-consumption between future demands, day-to-day operations and people/organizational performance. You have an excellent eye for stakeholder management with deliveries highly driven by others outside your own department and the ability to cover new and complex areas without necessarily having the skills. You are analytically strong and able to manage complexity, and you work in a systematic and process-oriented manner.
Another characteristic for you is resilience/robustness in handling pushback when driving a complex agenda, and you can set and communicate a clear direction for your team, as well as delegate, follow up and provide feedback on progress.
In the position as Senior Director, Group Sustainability, you will report directly to our EVP, Group Sustainability & Compliance, Martin Andreasen. The span of control in the role is eight employees.
Want to know more and apply?
We will be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the position and about your options in DSV. You are welcome to call Executive Vice President Martin Andreasen on +45 22653127.
We will process the applications as we receive them.
