We are looking for a VP of Human Resources, to join our site in Copenhagen, where approximately 1000 dedicated employees, of over 40 different nationalities, work together to bring hope to life, by producing life-saving medicine. We are a fast-growing site, going through expansion for the past years, and foresee continuous development.

We value solid leadership, which will help us achieve one of our wildly important goals of becoming the employer of choice in the industry. Being a global company, there is close work with the Center of Excellence in creating the HR infrastructure and alignment at the site level. You will be leading a team of approximately 10 high-skilled professionals working across different HR functions: Business Partners, Operations, Learning and Development. You will be part of our Leadership Team, involved in strategic decisions regarding the Copenhagen site,

Principal Responsibilities

  • Drive and manage the successful execution of Human Resource initiatives that promote engagement, growth and sustainability of the Copenhagen (CPH) site.
  • Identify key Human Resource trends, challenges and opportunities. Work with CPH Leadership Team to develop and drive new and refined people programs and services.
  • Work with the Leadership Teams to design and implement leadership and management development training programs, and succession planning. Make recommendations to the Executive Vice President of Human Resources for improvement of the organization’s talent practices, policies and procedures on personnel matters.
  • Support global HR initiatives in the development and design of Human Resources strategies and programs to include: Talent Acquisition and Employment Branding; Total Rewards strategy; Talent Management and Development – Organizational Development, Succession planning and pipeline development, Career Planning and Development; HR Systems.
  • Operate with an action-oriented approach knowing how to measure the results of various HR programs and responding to the dynamic needs of the team.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of performance systems and processes that facilitate the focus on individual, department and site-level performance (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Hire and motivate a highly effective and engaged HR team. Challenge, coach and develop staff.
  • Function as the expert on organizational issues and serve as a trusted advisor and business partner to the leadership team.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business Administration or related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional HR experience, preferably within the life sciences industry, with strong expertise in all areas of employment law, talent acquisition, talent management, change management, employee engagement, etc.
  • Previous experience of operating at a Leadership Team level
  • Track record of managing a high-performing HR team.
  • A successful track record working with a highly educated, technical workforce is preferred.
