About the department
The Global Patient Access organisation unites a broad range of market access functions in a single team, from health economics to strategic and sustainable pricing, real world evidence and value communication. Market access at Novo Nordisk is fully integrated across the value chain from early pipeline to lifecycle management, with the global function responsible primarily for setting strategy for pipeline and launch assets, while our regional and country level colleagues drive access activities for in market brands.
The position
Reporting to the Senior Vice President Global Commercial Strategy you will ensure optimal Market Access for all strategic products, including products in pipeline or immediate launch phase.
You will lead and develop a high-performance Global Market Access team. Furthermore, you will be responsible of developing and setting the strategic direction for the Global Patient Access function including Global Pricing strategies, Brand Market Access strategies and the Corporate Real-World Evidence (RWE) strategy. Furthermore, you will be responsible for driving the Global Market Access Forum to ensure a Global “fit for future purpose” Market Access organization.
In addition, you will ensure global alignment between all commercial units as well as design, implement and drive the Global Market Access Brand Strategies.
Apart from the above, you will represent Patient Access leadership on a range of Core Commercialisation Teams, Launch Steering Committees, BioEthics, and join ad hoc in Novo Nordisk’s Product Development Council and Global Development led Project Teams.
Qualifications
You must have master’s degree in business, finance, Health Economics or science with strong analytical focus, or equivalent with 10+ years of pharma industry experience and minimum 5 years people management experience. You are a visionary leader with a strategic mind-set and ability to set a clear direction.
You have a proven and successful track record in Market Access from a global/International setup covering complex markets as well as in depth understanding of commercial excellence from Pharma or Healthcare Industry.
We expect you to possess strong business understanding as well as excellent stakeholder management skills. Well-developed collaboration skills as well as the ability to quickly understand and navigate in complex Market Access-systems are considered necessary. You are a strong communicator and a strong leader. As a person, you are ambitious, energetic, flexible and you can build trusting relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
