Director Group Network Operations to GlobalConnect

GlobalConnect is ever expanding and growing and is dependent on a scalable and efficient Network Operations that, together with various stakeholders incl. the teams that plan and build the infrastructure, can ensure that new developments and services can be made operational and supported. This will offer you a great opportunity, together with your team of approx. 30 employees across Sweden, Norway, and Denmark, to almost green field build a Group Network Operations and create synergies rather than operating local teams and deliverables.

You will report to the Head of Group Operations and will become part of the management team together with the Heads of Group OC, Infrastructure, IT Operations, and IT Services. You can work out of either Sweden, Norway or Denmark.

The Job

In your role as Director Group Network Operations, you will be overall responsible for ensuring that network operations professional across the Nordics become and act as “one” common Operation unit, and where employee engagement and development are secured. You will work proactively towards securing ownership and engagement in the team. Next to this, you will ensure operational efficiencies when it comes to scalability/growth, unit cost etc. and increase customer satisfaction in terms of service availability and performance. Some of your tasks will include:

  • Translate, implement, and execute the Network Operations strategy, and design, implement and maintain transparent operational ITIL processes
  • Have ownership of services, assets, and infrastructure across the Nordics
  • Simplify, consolidate, and modernize operations and technical support for network production environment and services
  • Optimize performance and align SLAs and OLAs across various operations, technology, and service platforms
  • Manage vendor services, and optimize services and costs
  • Ensure alignment with business needs and projects, and enable Network Operations to become a valuable sparring partner

The Profile

We are looking for you, who demonstrate strong leadership, and who can build, engage, and motivate cross-national teams and make them collaborate and create synergies. We expect you to be able to operate autonomously, with strong analytical skills, coupled with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and a drive. Towards your team and stakeholders, you can communicate expectations and objectives in connection with delegating tasks, and in this, you can empower your employees in establishing targets, results, and assignments, and follow-up on these.

You combine your strong leadership profile with certain experience and credentials being:

  • Experience in leading, growing and mentoring high-performance Network Operations teams
  • 5+ years of IP network operations experience e.g., preferably from Telco, IT or Energy, where you are used to working with carriers and large-scale enterprises
  • Experience with transformation journeys, and operational excellence models
  • ITIL certification, minimum v3
  • Experience from dealing with suppliers, vendors, and other third parties to ensure consistent, and effective delivery of services
  • Experience from leading and maturing teams and in creating a customer centric culture
  • English and Danish or Swedish fluently, oral and in writing, and understanding of the Nordic culture
