Director of Sales to Bellagroup Hotels

On behalf of Bellagroup we are recruiting an ambitious and commercially oriented leader, who can balance strategic focus and daily operations with the purpose of optimizing sales of hotel rooms and conference, meeting and event facilities at Bellagroups three iconic hotels in Copenhagen – AC Hotel Bella Sky Copenhagen, Copenhagen Marriott Hotel and Crowne Plaza Copenhagen Towers.

This position belongs to the Group Function “Commercial” and reports to the Commercial Director, Hotels. The role is part of a commercial management team together with the Revenue Strategy Director and the three Meeting & Event (M&E) Directors, one from each hotel.

The role will lead a team of 20+ colleagues devided in two key departments: Hotel Field Sales and Reservations. This position operates at Director level, collaborating closely with Meetings & Events teams, Marketing, and Revenue Management to ensure a coordinated effort that maximizes guest satisfaction and 600M DKK hotel revenue.

You will lead through leaders and and set commercial direction towards optimizing daily business, processes and revenue. This is a very exciting and influential position in a fast moving and very inspiring business environment.

Primary areas of responsibility


• You will lead Bellagroup’s Field Sales and Reservations teams, which are responsible for proactively approaching and managing all key customers such as travel agencies, tour operaters, airlines, BtB direct customers (SMV and large corporate companies) and private individual groups in order to generate sales of hotel rooms and conference, meeting and event facilities. You and your teams will coordinate your sales in close collaboration with the management and M&E teams at each of the hotels.

• As the leader of the Field Sales and Reservations teams, this role will spearhead the implementation of sales strategies aimed at effectively increasing room revenue. This includes ensuring streamlined operations and coordination between the Hotel Field Sales and Reservations teams, as well as other internal stakeholders in Group functions and the three hotel organizations.

• Manage a department of currently 23 employees, of which 7 will be in direct reporting to you. It is your responsible to lead, inspire, motivate and develop your department, manage and optimize resources and make sure that your team performs and collaborates well both internally and externally.

• Initiate and lead change projects to optimize sales processes and enhance collaboration across departments.

• Responsible for developing and executing effective Go-to-Market plans aligned with the hotels’ overall commercial objectives.

• Alignment of sales initiatives with revenue targets and sales budgets on quarterly basis.

• Ensure a high level of performance by establishing clear KPIs, regularly evaluating and adapting strategies based on performance analyses.

• Take the lead in cross-organizational collaboration to ensure a comprehensive approach to increasing revenue and guest satisfaction.

• Possibly manage some own larger key accounts, also with the purpose of understanding and keeping a close touch with the business of your teams.

Required qualifications


  • 10+ years of work experience in commercial and consumer oriented environment
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership position within sales, preferably experience with recruitments and leadership through leaders
  • Work experience from the hotel sector or related businesses i.e. airlines, travel agencies, TMC’s, culture/sport/event venues, hospitality, tourism or similar
  • Strong track record of driving growth
  • Ability to decode and implement sales strategies aligned with the company’s strategic direction and commercial objectives
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to inspire and lead teams
  • Proficiency in analyzing data and market trends to support decision-making and strategy development. You are good with numbers and you perfectly understand a business P&L
  • A relevant education degree in sales, marketing, hospitality management or similar
  • Fluent English language is mandatory, Danish is preferable
