Director, Commercial Management – Commercial B2C in Falck

In your role as Director, you will be P/L responsible and head a 15 FTE organization that works with developing and managing Falck’s subscription business across patient transportation, roadside assistance, and healthcare. The great thing is that you are expected to innovate as well as execute in each category when it comes to pricing, delivery models, and content.

Commercial Management is part of Commercial B2C, part of Falck Direct Care, and includes 109 engaged and dedicated people that work in an environment characterized by lifting and looking at the existing business with new eyes as well as acting in an entrepreneurial environment, where healthcare as a category is a significant contributor to growth, both through innovative solutions and possible market expansion.

As Director for Commercial Management, you will be part of Commercial B2C’s management team, Direct Care’s extended management team, Falck Global Leadership and various cross-organizational fora and steering groups.

The role. Visionary leadership, innovation, and business development


As Director, you will be vital in and set an ambitious direction for Falck’s consumer business across Healthcare, PTS, and Auto. Key to your success is to spearhead strategy and business development as well as provide visionary leadership and direction for the organization – and success will depend on your ability to lead through leaders and engaging the organization.

Your role will include developing new innovative concepts, bundling of services, and finding the sweet spots in the Danish and Swedish markets. You will be P/L responsible and collaborate with delivery teams across Commercial B2C and Falck Operations. While PTS and Auto are established businesses, you will also head Healthcare that is expected to be a growth driver in the future. All this, you will achieve together with a 15 FTE team and 2 managers for Healthcare and Auto.

Your key responsibilities can be summarized to include:

  • Develop a consumer strategy and set the direction for Denmark and Sweden, where you empower and lead your mid managers to succeed through their teams to succeed.
  • Lead the organisation in developing commercial roadmaps and implementing go-to-market strategies across PTS, Auto and Healthcare to drive growth.
  • Design and head a transformational growth journey, taking Healthcare to the next level via your team, further leveraging Falck’s strong market position and brand.
  • Based on comprehensive market analyses identify emerging opportunities and market trends as well as preparing pricing recommendations and business cases.
  • P/L responsible for commercial performance in Denmark and Sweden incl. forecasting, budgeting and reporting.
  • Provide leadership, support, and coach your team to excellence and best practice.

The profile. Experienced leader from a consumer subscription business


You strive to make a difference. You can oversee multiple delivery models, have a cross-functional focus, and with a deep understanding of operations, efficiencies, and innovation of new services. You can set the direction and pace for the Commercial B2C business and are comfortable in leading an entrepreneurial business, where the highway must be built while driving.

In your work, you are structured, systematic and highly capable of translating strategies and ideas to concrete concepts and action plans. As a leader, you are an experienced people manager and with experience in leading through leaders and delegating responsibilities and ownership. Furthermore, you have strong stakeholder management skills and can navigate in a matrix organisation, taking action, and making things happen.

Professionally, you can document experience with following:

  • Background from telco, insurance or another subscription business that is consumer-driven, and with focus on customer segmentation, customer needs, etc.
  • Digital business development and preferably with experience from a subscription business.
  • Go-to-market strategies, pricing strategies, sales and experience from working with the entire P/L.
  • Exposed to the challenge of having to balance between managing existing business, while also introducing new services / a new category in the market.
  • Strong experience in structuring and executing new processes, working with Best Practice processes, business cases and used to being involved in the entire value chain.
  • The candidate has a bachelor’s (HD) or master’s degree from the university or CBS.
