Best was founded 1976 and offers customers last-mile transportation, both express and distribution services. Best is established in Sweden, Norway and Denmark and have customers both within Business to Business and Business to Consumer. The company has several concepts, such as e-Commerce, Service Logistics and Health Care Logistics.

Best has an in-house IT development team for internal optimization and for customer needs. This has led to a leading position in terms of IT functionality and thereby ability to meet customer’s needs. Best has invested in a clear sustainability profile with more than 90% electric or fossil-free vehicles, which increases day by day.

THE POSITION

As the coming CEO, you will be responsible for all Best activities and development in Denmark. There are three main service areas within the business: a) transportation services produced with own capacity, b) transportation services produced with external capacity and c) warehouse activities.

The fluctuation on the market has created some historical challenges the last years for the business in Denmark. The main problem has been too high level of fixed capacity. That has now been changed to a more flexible structure, which has put the company back to a financial stable situation.

The company and the new CEO’s focus is now growth development. This is expected to be realized both trough organic growth and through acquisitions. Best has central functions to support both areas, such as solution and pricing specialists and top management for acquisition processes.

To be successful as the new CEO, we believe the person has a background within the industry or other relevant industrial background. The person shall have excellent skills in sales, leadership and structure and with the ability to make fact-based decisions. It’s vital that the person has and continually develops business network for potential customers and business partners.

The person shall value success as positive financial development as well as customer and team satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operational responsible within the service scope (assure quality, productivity and correct capacity).
  • Financial development.
  • M&A integrations.
  • Sales activities, together with central team.
  • Develop and maintain highly motivated and competent employees.
  • Ensure a strong and smooth cooperation with other parts of Best.
  • Being a visible and motivating CEO, showing the way through leadership.
  • Maintain and expand partnerships with haulages companies.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

  • A proven successful track record to run a company / business area.
  • P&L experience.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Sales and commercial experience.
  • Highly skilled communicator at all levels, internally as well as externally.
  • Analytic.
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English.

PERSONAL SKILLS

  • You are highly competitive, and you possess a strong personal drive.
  • You have an energetic ”can-do” attitude.
  • You are a role model to people around you.
  • You are a proactive person who creates enthusiasm.
