As Senior Manager Business Development at Ascelia Pharma you will take a leading role in developing global academic, industrial and commercial partnerships and commercial opportunities for orphan oncology drugs.
With direct report to the Chief Commercial Officer you will be responsible for developing research, industry and commercial partnerships and business opportunities as a key partner to the management team. You will be a key player in a fast-growing cross-functional team and work closely with the management team and colleagues across the organization.

Your qualifications include:
You have a Master’s Degree preferably in Natural Sciences, perhaps combined with a PhD in a relevant field or an MBA. You are fluent in both spoken and written English and deliver effective written and oral communications to peers, management and external partners.
You are a person with ability to build strong relationship with co-workers and external stakeholders of various backgrounds and expertise. You demonstrate ability to operate in a fast-growing cross-functional environment and show flexibility, integrity and ability to deal with complexity under pressure. You deliver results exhibiting strong interpersonal and project leadership skills. You have a positive can-do attitude and strong analytical skills. You set ambitious goals and solve tasks in a collaborative, fast-paced manner. You deliver on projects equally well if you drive them alone or if you contribute as part of a cross-functional project team.

Travelling: Some travelling will be required.

Your main tasks are:
- Facilitating further development and refinement of partnering strategies and leading the execution within both R&D and commercialization
- Facilitating the development of corporate growth and capability strategy to identify and assess portfolio and corporate expansion opportunities
- Searching, screening and evaluating partnering candidates within academic, research, industry and commercialization collaboration
- Preparing and coordinating dialogue and negotiations with potential partners
- Developing terms and contracts with partners
- Support market sizing and market models for current product portfolio
- Developing opportunity assessments and input to lifecycle management, clinical development and commercial plans based on market opportunities of current portfolio
- Leading the management of patent portfolio, including the coordination of global patent offices and new patent ideas in close collaboration with external experts
Your qualifications include:
- Several years of relevant experience in business development roles, including opportunity and deal development from a pharmaceutical company, a consultancy or an investor
- Demonstrated ability to develop partnerships in the life science industry including screening, evaluation and deal development; preferably for both R&D and commercial partnerships
- Strong analytical skills including scientific understanding and financial modelling
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and countries
- Experience with IP management
