Georg Jensen is looking for an experienced and outgoing Head of Supply Chain to lead our Global Supply Chain function, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.

The role entails planning and managing the overall Supply Chain activities for all product categories (Home, Jewellery and Watches) across the different group entities. You will drive the implementation of the Supply Chain Strategy for the Group and to ensure a timely and cost-effective delivery, and availability performance of all categories.

The Supply Chain team is located at our beautiful headquarters in Copenhagen.

You will engage with business partners in the different functions in HQ and work closely with the management team in our affiliates.

The development potential for this role is high and you will have significant exposure to all parts of the business and the global Senior Management Team, and you will work in close collaboration with the Global Operations Management team.

Your key responsibilities:
  • Execute all facets of the Supply Chain planning process, from sourcing to delivery, to provide the best possible customer service, while optimizing the groups inventory working capital performance in line with the overall operating plans and strategic objectives;
  • Manage the global Supply Planning function on a daily basis, including the creation of medium and long-term plans to meet the needs of the customer base.
  • Evaluate supplier delivery performance and capability, implementing risk mitigating measures to manage suppler performance variation.
  • Define the annual inventory targets for Finished Goods together with Group Management and Finance and ensure alignment with monthly targets through an effective Open-to-Buy process.
  • Recommend and maintain optimal inventory levels at various stages in the Supply Chain in order to achieve service level targets while managing inventory exposure.
  • Manage the global Forecasting function on a day-to-day basis and ensure a timely, efficient forecasting process for all main product categories, including an on-going evaluation of the process effectiveness and implementation of changes to the process if required. Ensure the best possible alignment with the Financial Budgeting process.
  • Manage the links between systems for forecasting, master production scheduling, inventory management and product development utilizing the ERP system effectively.
  • Manage the Global Logistics and Warehousing team and ensure that all logistics and transportation streams are functioning in an optimal manner, including ongoing optimization of in- and outbound product flows.
  • Monitor operational performance against agreed plans & budgets, identify variances and ensure effective utilization of all Supply Chain resources.
  • Work with the markets to ensure effective delivery and availability performance.
  • Managing and motivating a team of 6, consisting of Forecasting, Planning. Logistics and Warehousing.


The ideal candidate has the following competences:
  • 8+ years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in FMCG or Luxury businesses
  • Demonstrated experience in Demand- and Supply Planning, Warehousing and Logistics.

  • Strong people management and leadership skills.
  • Project management competencies.
  • Practical experience in managing a Supply Chain function and improving processes covering multiple departments and product/information flows with a “customer first” approach.
  • Strong and engaging communicator and ability to interact at all levels in an international organization.
  • Financially savvy with deep understanding of all aspects of Supply Chain finance.
  • Understanding of ERP systems is required – specific skills and experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 skills is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of data and familiar with Power BI is an advantage.
  • Communicate effortlessly in Danish and English in both speech and writing.
  • Preferably Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or similar
