Service Service Operations Turbine Operations Engineering
The department Turbine Engineering is a part of the Vestas Service organization. We are currently expanding the organization with highly qualified employees.
The department is responsible for delivering service solutions on All Brands enabling the service business within Vestas to fulfill its strategic targets. The service solutions vary from parts & repair over maintenance concepts to product improvements like component life extensions, optimizations of performance and cost-out initiatives. The department holds the design responsibility for service/aftersales solutions on the products no longer being manufactured.
We are responsible for delivering innovative solutions to ensure highest possible value to Vestas customers in the service business.
The team is in different geographical locations and is expanding to meet the demand of a growing business

Your work location will be in Aarhus N, DK. Rest of Europe or Chennai in India can also be considered. Some travel activities are accepted.

Responsibilities
As an individual contributor the responsibilities of this role are the following:
- Technical evaluation of new improvement cases/after sales options
- Key role in setting the business standards for repair solutions using new or state of the art technologies
- Technical ownership of active improvement cases related to this technical area
- Technical lead on development of solutions and after sales options/methods and processes
- Collaboration with 3rd part companies/sub suppliers developing technical solutions
- Provide input and contact technical review to future products/solution
Qualifications
- Electrical engineer, M. Sc., or B. Sc.
- +3-year experience within the wind power business with mechanical systems and e.g. the electrical systems as main working area, will be a requirement
- Proficient in English both written and verbal
- If you come with service operation knowledge and a good understanding of the commercial value set of the service business where balancing of product quality, lifetime and customer needs are always vital, it will highly value
- Experience on organizing and handling sub-contractors and sub suppliers
- Experience from larger organizations will be an advantage

- Communications skills and can handle many stakeholders at a time
- Being innovative and analytical
- Customer oriented and can understand the business value chain seen from a service and customer perspective
- Good eye on process optimization
- Ability to take design responsibility and secure the right level of engineering to support the decisions
- Flexibility and ability to work with other people in a large organization and capability of building up an intensive network across cultures and time zones within and outside Vestas
- Ability to work well under pressure and make the right decisions based on facts
