Power Solution Turbine Solutions Product Functions Product Functions Engineering
Product Functions Noise, EMC & Lightning is a department within Vestas R&D organisation, Power Solutions (VPS). VPS is a cornerstone of Vestas and is shaping the future of modern energy by developing and maturing new products and technologies. The Product Functions Noise, EMC & Lightning department works on behalf of the product owner and is responsible for developing and maintaining relevant requirements, technologies and concepts of our wind turbines. We are involved in new turbine development as well as maintenance and optimisation of the existing fleet.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure continues development of primarily low voltage protection, internal earthing and turbine grounding
  • Define Product level and associated system level requirements for the above
  • Concept responsible for internal grounding throughout the whole turbine
  • Participate actively in standardization work and related family standards
  • Provide in dept analysis of standard interpretation for stakeholders, customers and certification
  • Ensure alignment and generic solutions on protection, internal earthing and turbine grounding across all modules and turbine series
  • Provide guidance for design, verification and documentation needed for certification

Qualifications

  • M.Sc/B.Sc in electrical engineering, preferably electrical power engineering or similar
  • Documented experience with low voltage protection (Power Quality, grounding, LVD) of complex system +5 years of experience
  • In-depth knowleage of directive 2014/35/EU and standards IEC/EN 60204-1
  • Capable of working in a large international organization

Competencies

  • Methodical and structured way of working
  • Technical leadership including ability to manage stakeholders, plans, knowledge sharing, coaching etc.
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to work self-driven; independently and in teams

Additional information
The primary working location is Aarhus, Denmark, and this positon requires approximately 10% travel.
