People responsibility & Project Management
In our Hardware Acoustics & Mechanics group, we consist of more than 50 engineers and are responsible for developing the hearing solutions within the fields of Mechanics and Electro-Acoustics. Our responsibility for design begins from the very early concept to ramping up in mass production. We interact with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. In collaboration with the Electronics group, we develop the complete hardware platforms consisting of both mechanical and electronic parts.
As Hardware Manager in our group, you will be part of a Management team consisting of six other Hardware Managers, and you will be reporting directly to the Director of Hardware Acoustics & Mechanics. Your focus will be on the daily people management of your team as well as being project manager for several projects within the group. Here, you will have rich opportunities to influence and leave your fingerprint.
Your tasks
You will be responsible for the people management of a small team of highly skilled Electro-Acoustic and Mechanical Engineers, who are assigned to projects in the Hardware Acoustics & Mechanics group.. Your main responsibilities include the following:
• Setting up clear and measurable goals for your direct reports
• Providing guidance, support and inspiration to motivate in accordance to the set goals
• Making sure the individual development is in place for your directs
• Being an active member of the leadership team
• Leading and executing several development activities ranging from design changes to full hearing solution platforms
• In each project, you will work closely together with the lead engineers and project team
• You will typically be involved from the early definition phase all the way to the final delivery to manufacturing
You will gain a strong influence on both your own team and the whole group. The job offers a variety of tasks and gives you the possibility to develop your skills further within hardware development and leadership.
Personal qualifications
We expect you to hold a relevant Engineering degree, experience as a Hardware Developer and many years of solid people and project management experience – desirable from a company within business areas such as medical devices, consumer electronics or similar.
Your people skills are well developed. You are being described as emphatic, open and honest. You know what it takes to win people for your cause and make them follow you, because they want to. You are a strong communicator as you will work together with internal stakeholders across the organization and negotiate with external suppliers. You are a motivator and inspire others. You are structured and you have experience from working in an environment where quality is on top of the agenda.
You are fluent in English both written and spoken, as it is our company language and are ready for some travel days per year.
