Do you want to use your expertise to drive the development of a sustainable ROCKWOOL production?
Then this is your chance to become the electrical expert securing the future for sustainable melting technology in ROCKWOOL. Our products are already based on an ambition to save energy and it’s time that our production technology does the same.
This is who we are
You will join our melting team within Group R&D. We develop state-of-the art process technology for stone melting – enabling the production of our world-renowned ROCKWOOL solutions. We want to continue to be at the forefront of our industry – especially with respect to environmental requirements and sustainable solutions.
That is why we are proud to say that we – within a couple of months – will have our first production line based on an alternative electrical technology, electrifying the thermal processes necessary for ROCKWOOL production. But we still have a long way to go in terms of optimizing the processes and ensuring large scale rollouts across global production. And this is where you come into the picture.
This is the role
Your goal will be to help us develop and optimise the electrical technology that enables us to electrify thermal processes in the production of ROCKWOOL.
“You do not need to know anything about electrical melting technology, but you will become our expert and go-to person on all electrical aspects of the production process,” says the director responsible for this technical area, Ole Andreasen.
This means you will communicate closely and coordinate activities with colleagues from across Group R&D and Group OperationTechnology. Moreover, you will be the contact person to our suppliers of electrical equipment.
Your role is brand new in R&D, so to some extend you will get to shape the role collaboration with us, but overall, your tasks will be to:
• Manage electrical activities in electrical pilot installations
• Identify and onboard new suppliers of electrical equipment such as transformers and AC/DC power supply.
• Drive standardization and modulization of electrical equipment for reduced CAPEX and maintenance costs
• Improve and optimize the electrical processes with focus on energy efficiency and reduced OPEX
• Oversee implementation across our production sites – this will take you travelling mainly across Europe approx. 80 days a year
This is what you offer
• A master’s degree in electrical high voltage engineering
• Senior experience in large scale electrical power processes – for instance related to wind turbines or trains
• Great project management skills
