Job Description
Danfoss Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Controls (RAC), R&D and Engineering is looking for a Lead Design Engineer in Kolding. Your role is to design control valves and line components in accordance with customer requirements from idea to market launch, and to lead R&D activities within projects, including leading and delegating relevant activities to other design Engineers within a specific project. Preferable you have a solid experience with design of mechanical products, basic project management skills and able to focus on continues improvement in quality, cost and time to market by use of simulation, fast prototyping and platform-based development. As a person you are innovative, fact based, quality and result oriented, positive, open-minded and a good team player who can interact with others, across borders and cultures. You can expect approximately 10-20 days of travel per year
Background and skills
To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Mechatronics engineering or similar education combined with a technical background, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Min. 5 years’ experience with design of mechanical products
- Experience with valve designs, preferably within refrigeration applications
- Basic project management experience
- Experience with 3D CAD and simulation
- Being able to lead by example
- Fluent and comprehensive in English
