Smørum

We are looking for a Senior Analog IC Designer to join our chipset department at Oticon and be part of taking the lead in developing our future hearing instrument integrated circuits. Our team develops the chipsets used in our hearing instruments and accessories. The goal is to ensure technological leadership in our products by developing state-of-the-art innovative silicon solutions, featuring world-class performance in DSP processing power, audio quality, connectivity, artificial intelligence, and re-chargeability in the smallest size and with the lowest power consumption.

Getting ready for the next generation

Joining our Analog IC Design group, you will be part of ramping up the development of our next generation chipset. We will be developing a wide range of new circuits and you will get to work on various types in a leading-edge process node. As Senior Analog IC Designer, you will take part in all phases of the development - from specification, schematic design and circuit layout, to verification of the fabricated ICs. You will take part in the high-level system design of features with cross functional teams to ensure that the entire IC is solid. You will be the technical lead of the implementation of the features together with a team of analog IC designers, including guiding the younger engineers in the team. Finally, in the later parts of the development phase you will act as interface to our internal customers to ensure good integration of the develop ICs in our platforms.

Our group is responsible for all the analog IC design that goes into our hearing aids. Your colleagues are a group of highly skilled and experienced engineers, who strive for an open and supportive way of working. Sharing knowledge and ideas is a fundamental part of our culture. We work in scrum teams, where the team members share the responsibility of delivering the high quality and high-performance features to our chipsets. Continuous development of your technical skills by attending technical courses and conferences on the latest developments in the field is part of this.

Professional skills
We expect you to have a M.Sc. or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization within analog IC design and a minimum of 10 years of industry experience. You have experience with high level design, not limited to single components but multi-component full functional features. If you have worked with digital assisted analog design and mixed-signal IC design before, this will be a benefit. You are furthermore familiar with device validation, measurement techniques and working in a Linux/Unix environment.

Overall, we work with a wide range of circuit types, including but not limited to circuits for audio processing, data converters, biosensor interfaces, power and battery management circuits, voltage and current references, I/O and ESD design. Experience with some of these circuit types is a plus, but not required. It is more important that you have a proven track record of strong transistor level design skills and a willingness to take on challenges with unknown circuits.

Personal skills

You are a strong team player, but also able to work in a self-driven environment based on freedom under responsibility. You have a sense for details, while still being able to maintain an overview. You take pride in delivering high quality solutions to the tasks you are given while being able to balance your solutions between perfection and “good enough”. You have a positive attitude and – of course – are passionate about analog IC design.

Oticon ranked #1 company to work in
Like last year, Engineers in Denmark have once more ranked Oticon as the #1 electronics company to work in. We believe this is due to our innovative work environment. We develop best in class hearing solutions and try to defy the limits of what is possible at all. Oticon is a large, growing company in the medical-technical industry where our 600+ engineers are all committed to deliver high quality, high tech solutions for hearing impaired people worldwide. You will be working in an international team and company, with many opportunities for professional and personal development. And – most important - you will be able to influence and leave your mark on our products.

Want to join the team?
Then send your application via our electronical recruitment system as soon as possible, as we are screening on an ongoing basis.

If you would like to know more about the position, you are welcome to contact Head of Analog IC Design Niels Marker-Villumsen via e-mail [email protected] or phone +45 4149 9640.

We are looking forward to hearing from you.
