You will become part of our Audiological Solutions Group. We are responsible for driving the audiological design of our hearing aid products - a process which includes defining user, system and platform requirements, deciding and describing the optimum solution and giving input to how the solution should be configured in our fitting software. Key stakeholders include program management, product management and R&D development functions. Referring to the Director of Audiological Solutions, you will lead a team of 12 dedicated and highly skilled employees with expertise in areas such as acoustics, audiology, neuroscience, sensor technology, speech analysis, data science and machine learning. You will be part of the management team with responsibility and influence across R&D.

Job and Responsibilities
You will be team lead for a recently established team, where you will be responsible for the individual development of your employees. Furthermore, you like to foster an innovative work environment, where everyone contributes to the team’s goals and responsibilities. Altogether, you will create a vision and mission for the team. Still, you will have the responsibility for driving the vision, motivating the team and making a strategy for how to achieve that vision. Together with the team, your main task is to ensure the successful development of innovative audiology in our hearing solutions with focus on integrating new technologies with audiology.

Our organization is a matrix organization and you will therefore work closely together with a wide range of stakeholders. We work in an agile setup and you will support to develop and improve the team within this area. Here, you will focus on the broad and long-term view for the competence area and help the scrum team and product owner. Summarizing your main tasks will be:

• Motivating and inspiring people management
• Competence management of a key area
• Ensure a work environment for designing life-changing industry-leading solutions with a constant focus on making a genuine difference for the hearing impaired
• Developing, optimizing and maintaining tools and processes anchored in the quality system
• Optimizing resource usage and capabilities
• Nurturing innovation culture within own area
• Supporting and executing strategic initiatives
• Contributing to the development of line management in the department
• Increasing the usage of agile methodologies
• Alignment of R&D activities across R&D functions including research
• Securing deliveries to the product programs via your team

Your Background
You hold a MSc in Engineering and have documented experience with managing and developing highly competent and specialized teams in a large-scale R&D setting. You have excellent people management skills and is a strong communicator. With your strength in decision-making and your eagerness to take on responsibility, you are easily able to prioritize tasks according to the business strategy and goals.
