Your position

In your new position as Senior Electrical Engineer in the Renewables division, you will be a valuable member of the dedicated High voltage team who is responsible for installations, tests and commissioning of medium voltage and high voltage projects for large, specialized offshore substation projects.

Here, you will work with some of the brightest and most skilled power engineers in developing excellent technical solutions to our customers all over the world. You will have the exciting change to bring your knowledge into work in the core area of high voltage. Above all, your work will make a real change for the global energy sector.

You may choose working from our head office in Esbjerg, our Ballerup office in the greater Copenhagen area, or the office in Gdynia, Poland. The position is full-time, and you can expect 10-30 travel days per year.

Your tasks & responsibilities

In the role as a Senior Electrical Engineer, Project Lead, you will be responsible for leading the high voltage scope of the projects, overseeing time and budget management, and acting as a liaison between stakeholders to ensure the project's successful completion.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for design, calculations and engineering of HV/MV equipment in our EPC projects.
  • Handling suppliers, negotiations and contracts in cooperation with the Engineering Manager and procurement department
  • Project managing and leading 2-4 Electrical project engineers including planning, scope split, time schedule, budget etc.
  • Planning and attending FAT, SAT, commissioning and handover of projects to clients and their O&M organisations
  • Developing, optimizing and standardizing technical solutions
  • Participating and supporting tenders


Your profile & qualifications

As a person you are outgoing, trustworthy, positive and a team player. Furthermore, you should be able to exert influence when needed, and have a proactive, analytic and organized approach to your work.

To succeed in this position, we expect you to have:

  • A bachelor’s or master's degree within electrical engineering or High Voltage electrical power systems.
  • Experience with project management and detailed engineering from offshore substations or other relevant electrical projects.
  • Ability to communicate excellently in English, both verbal and written.
  • A good sense of humour is always appreciated at Semco Maritime.
