Technical Asset Manager – Wind Projects, Lithuania

Welcome to the Technical Asset Management Team

You will be part of the Technical Asset Management Team, which has an important role in the technical management of our renewable energy projects. The team’s main focus is to optimize and supervise assets in operation with a focus on cost minimalization and high availability. European Energy will have 300 MW of operating wind assets at the end of 2023.

As our Technical Asset Manager, you will be responsible for maturing the internal processes of bringing new Lithuanian wind assets into an operational state, the daily operation of the assets and overseeing day-to-day technical activities and reporting. To ensure success you will need to involve yourself in overall technical optimizations and stakeholder management at multiple levels. You will have a solid relationship with the Technical Asset Management team at HQ – everyone is supporting one another to ensure maximum performance.

The position is located at our Vilnius office where 18 employees are based. It will be expected that you visit our HQ in Copenhagen, Denmark every 6-8 weeks, in order to insure best practices and continuity in business and regular visits to our wind projects in Lithuania.

Areas of responsibilities


  • You will be supervising and optimizing the operation of a portfolio of wind farms located in Lithuania on behalf of institutional investors
  • You ensure positive relationship management between investors and third part contractors, such as maintenance providers, technical experts, grid operators, electricity traders, power suppliers
  • You are responsible for OPEX budget and technical optimization through data analysis and KPI Management
  • You coordinate and maintain compliance with local permits, environmental and legislative requirements
  • You contribute to internal Business Case development and optimization of quality in Technical Asset Management Department
  • Optional and depending on profile: you will be performing visual quality assurance inspections of the wind turbines on a yearly basis, including drone inspection of the turbine blades.

Your profile


  • You hold a Bachelor’s or a Master’s Degree in engineering, sustainable energy or similar. Alternatively you are an experienced Technician from the wind industry
  • You have 3-5 years of relevant experience within wind or PV projects. You have a basic technical understanding and you are curious about how “it works”
  • You are proficient in English and Lithuanian at a professional level
  • Good communications skills and team spirit
  • You are confident working in Microsoft office tools and you possess solid skills within data analysis.

As a person you are proactive and a good communicator. You possess a natural urge to constantly optimizing our operating wind farms. You know the details stated in our contracts and you are good at keeping an overview of your assets. You have an eye to see if issues may arise and effectively act on it based on your technical and data-driven approach. Finally you find it natural to spare with your team and involve relevant stakeholders to continuously ensure the optimal production of the wind farms.
