Foodjob Nordic is looking for a Business Manager for Alsiano’s Food business.
Alsiano FOOD offers a broad range of ingredients and raw materials to the Nordic Region and has a solid position within the field. The product range covers all applications within Bakery, Dairy, Confectionery and Meat replacement. Moreover, Alsiano FOOD is also developing concepts and blends with Kryta A/S – a daughter company of Alsiano.

The position
With reference to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for building and executing the future commercial strategy and plans to drive relevant growth of the business unit FOOD. You will be working closely together with leading international manufacturers of food ingredients, and you will be responsible for the internal cooperation with Kryta.
On the supply side, this includes:
On the market side, you will pro-actively drive forward sales and gross margin within the sectors by managing all aspects of the customer relationships. This includes:
As Business Manager, you will lead and further develop a highly motivated team consisting of 4 Area Sales Managers and 3 Back-office employees. While you will be managing a few key customer accounts and key suppliers yourself, you will be relying on your team with regards to a significant part of the FOOD business. It will be up to you to ensure the right capabilities of the team and by proper coaching and delegation of responsibility, you will enable the team to achieve strong business results.
You will be based either at the office in Copenhagen or at the office in Billdal, south of Gothenburg.
Profile
You possess significant commercial experience from customer facing roles and have experience in guiding customers with new solutions within raw materials or ingredients in the food industry.
Knowledge of the food markets in the Nordic countries combined with strong business acumen is key to growing the business. So is experience of working in a collaborative way with customers and suppliers to problem solve specific issues and identify new opportunities.
Furthermore, you have excellent communications skills, verbally and in writing, in one of the Scandinavian languages and in English.
You should expect a level of +40 days per year travelling within the Nordic countries as well as in Europe.

- Developing relationships with core suppliers and principals
- Identifying new trends and developing relationships with new suppliers and principals in line with the trends
- Develop – together with the team/Kryta/suppliers – new competitive offerings to the customers
On the market side, you will pro-actively drive forward sales and gross margin within the sectors by managing all aspects of the customer relationships. This includes:
- Researching new market opportunities and targeting new customers
- Lead negotiations with larger customers (and key suppliers)
- Provide technical support to customers in close cooperation with suppliers
