Technical Asset Manager for Danish assets

As a Technical Asset Manager with European Energy, you have full responsibility for the technical operation of a portfolio of assets, including troubleshooting and fixing various challenges.

The Asset Management department consists of 92 colleagues in total, based in Denmark, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, and Brazil. The department consists of Technical Asset Management, Commercial Asset Management, Operations & Maintenance (O&M), and PPA & Energy Trading. We are responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of power-producing assets, offering asset management services for both internal and external assets, and providing power sales services.
You will be part of our Technical Asset Management team, which plays a key role in the technical operation of our solar and wind parks. We work closely with the Commercial Asset Management team, O&M, EPC, Project Development, and Innovation to achieve our main goal of optimizing the operational assets with special focus on performance optimization and cost minimalization. We are driven by fixing issues and are excellent at troubleshooting.

As a Technical Asset Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operation of your own portfolio of renewable energy assets in Denmark. You focus will primarily be on solar PV plants, where you will manage day-to-day technical activities and reporting, as well as ensure technical optimizations and stakeholder management at multiple levels. You will manage the Danish portfolio of assets together with 6 colleagues in the Technical Asset Management team.
As a person you are proactive and a good communicator. You possess a natural urge to constantly optimizing our operating PV farms. You know the details stated in our contracts and you are good at keeping an overview of your assets. You have an eye to see if issues may arise and effectively act on it based on your technical and data-driven approach. Finally, you find it natural to spare with your team and involve relevant stakeholders to continuously ensure the optimal production of the PV farms.

How you will create impact
As a Technical Asset Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operation of your own portfolio of renewable energy assets in Denmark. You focus will primarily be on solar PV plants, where you will manage day-to-day technical activities and reporting, as well as ensure technical optimizations and stakeholder management at multiple levels. You will manage the Danish portfolio of assets together with 6 colleagues in the Technical Asset Management team.
Key responsibilities include
- You build and maintain relations with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including Contract Management, EPC, O&M, lenders, banks, and insurance companies.
- You supervise and focus on optimizing the technical operation of solar PV projects, including full responsibility for OPEX budget and technical performance through data analysis and KPI management.
- You coordinate with O&M and service providers of assets to manage the operation and maintenance of the sites, requiring technical reporting and contract negotiations.
- You ensure that the assets are compliant with legal, mechanical, electrical, safety and environmental regulations.
- You manage relationships between investors and third part contractors such as landowners, power suppliers, TSO, DSO, etc.
To thrive in the role, we imagine that you have the following competencies
- You hold a bachelor’s degree as a minimum within renewable energy, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar.
- You have +2 years of work experience with asset management in the renewable energy sector and a solid technical understanding.
- You have experience with drafting contracts and contract management.
- You have solid Microsoft office 365 and data analysis skills.
- You write and speak English at a professional level.
- You can easily read and understand Danish.
